My BD-d5100 suddenly stops reading bluray/dvd disc :'( The bad is that out of warranty na. Di naman sya masyado nagagamit sa bluray playing kasi i only have less than 10 BDs. But it still can function as HD player. Ano kaya ang problema, is it the lens? HELP!!!

My Samsung BD-D5100 has also started exhibiting problems - sometimes does't read BD or DVD and if it does, intermittently (picture goes on and off). Can we have a running list of members having problems with this player so we can collectively complain to Samsung..

Try the following.

Reset to factory settings
Update Firmware
If its still warranty, ask for service

How do i reset my unit to factory settings?

I also downloaded a firmware upgrade, saved it in a usb. What next should i do to be able to convert my d5100 to a new firmware?

TIA

If .ts files cannot be played, try renaming the .ts file extension to .mpeg.

thanks for the suggestion sir...Google'd it and it seems a viable solution.

Was afraid of the resolution going down but it seems to be a non-issue...
