can is used an AVR instead of a transformer?
« on: Feb 02, 2012 at 08:17 AM »
to all,

i have acquired few elctronics lately rated at 100v, just asking, is it safe if i plug it at 110v input of my OMNI AVR? Or should i but a transformer with a dedicated 100v input? thanks you for your replies  :)

Yes it's safe just as long as the rating of your avr can still accommodate additional loads. Also Im sure avr is safer than step down transformers ;) btw 100v electronics can handle 110v inputs.

you can elect to buy an AVR that has both the 100VAC and 110VAC stepdown output...

Nice…
I jus bought 100v vintage amp as well and I was wondering that I need to buy step down transformer

Thanks for the input guys

I will be using the amp dedicated to my 1500w AVR with servo

I believe the 1500w servo avr is more than enough with this amp

TECHNICS 99a

OT: yung goldsource ba yung gagamitin mo brother derrick?

Will the 1500w servo avr handle the 100v technics 99a

http://audio-database.com/TechnicsPanasonic/amp/su-8099-e.html

first, ganda ng amp mo brader.  :)

using a 1500 watt avr is of course much better.  :)
