Samsung 32" LED's UA32D5000 or UA32EH5000
« on: May 18, 2012 at 11:51 AM »
Please help me decide on this mga sirs (and madames)....

Hard to choose in between the 2. Looks like D5000 is loaded in features esp. those input/jacks behind (4hdmi, 2usb, etc) but picture quality on EH5000 is pretty convincing too with 120 CMR vs 100 for D5000.

HELP PLEASE!!!! Thanks.  ???

Btw, D5000 is pegged at a HIGHER price than the EH5000. Why so?

Beside from 120Hz CMR, 32EH500 is also the first full array with local dimming LED TV that released in our local market. Check out the link: http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-33199_7-57366966-221/samsung-tvs-2012-micro-dimming-leds-blacker-plasmas-gesture-control/.

"Full-array with local dimming: The original and still the best. There are exceptions, but in general, TVs with this LED backlight configuration are the best-performing LCDs you can buy. They're similar to full-array models, but the individual zones of LEDs can be dimmed or brightened independently.
Picture quality impact: Can have significantly better black levels and uniformity than normal LCD, but will also exhibit "blooming," or stray illumination, to some extent." from http://reviews.cnet.com/2795-6482_7-399.html.

Another advantage with this EH5000 is the bigger speakers that are integrated in this thick / bulky cabinet. With bigger speakers, sound presentation is now bolder and more distinct. The D5000 slim speakers delivers quite metallic and 'thin' sounds.

Thanks for the reply. Why the price difference? It seems D5000 is higher than EH5000 considering that EH models are the latest.
