2016 updates - transffered the system to my condo




Panel covers to be changed to black and add rugs to match din 😊

The never ending work in progress 😅

Because wood is good

Custom Speaker stands - 28 in tall, 5x5 pillars, 1.5 in top/bottom plates, solid accacia.



Custom tt platform - solid acacia as well.



And gone analog

2014 setup - HT and stereo, speakers are switched banana plugs depending on the setup used






Pure Audio (Music) - Bedroom setup

Source - Nad C515bee
Amp - Ming Da MC34a06 Special Class (four Jinvina Ruby El34, two Sovtek 12AX7wxt, two NOS GE 12AU7; 38 watts)
Speaker wire - Gauge 12 DIY speaker wire by Paololorenzo
Acoustic treatments - All by Mr Tony Rodriguez

Upgrade path - Solid wood plinths for amp and cdp, and a  slight possibility of turning to the "darkside" (Turntables).

More into music talaga kasi ako sir, yung sa living room, just entry level for my gaming :) with the occasional movie watching on weekends.

i just want to ask, have you tried putting the sub in the center rather than in one corner. is there any difference in the SQ? mas balansyado ata pag sa gitna sa tingin ko.

I tried sir, and a drastic drop in spl, better bass though - Kinuha ko nalang yung me balance ng SPL and SQ from the listening position... so medio nilayo ko sia onti sa right...

Sa angle siguro kaya parang super malapit sa right, pero, mga 10 inches away sia from the center, and about 19 inches from the side wall.

Sub is crossed at around 90 hz, so ndi naman din ganu ka directional ung sound, you wouldn't notice its in the right side.

Also, yung amp and cdp would be right on top of the sub kaya iniwasan ko din :)

With my speakers, sounds very good for Vocals and Jazz, which is what I listen to most of the time. I tried it on a track with nothing but percussion, it sounds good too.

Performs well with rock too (mostly guitars), but like most tube amps - Will not do well with modern music, e.g. Techno, trance, hip hop.

Overall - Im very happy with this amp.

You can audition it here in my place sir if you want. :)
