Yes there is.

You can use the analog connection which will give you stereo sound or if its hdmi, you can set it 2 channel pcm.

...or you can set the audio/HDMI output to 2.1 ch if you are using HDMI connections to your TV.

Last night I tried transferring a 1.4 gb file from the 2TB HD to a 8gb flash drive. File error daw. The 8gb is only 1/4 filled.  But when I tried it from 8gb to 2TB successful. Weird :)

How to convert a FAT volume or a FAT32 volume to NTFS
Note Although the chance of corruption or data loss during the conversion is minimal, we recommend that you perform a backup of the data on the volume that you want to convert before you start the conversion.

To convert an existing FAT or FAT32 volume to NTFS, follow these steps:

 1.   Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command Prompt.
 2.   At the command prompt, type the following, where drive letter is the drive that you want to convert:
    convert drive letter: /fs:ntfs
For example, type the following command to convert drive E to NTFS:
    convert e: /fs:ntfs
Note If the operating system is on the drive that you are converting, you will be prompted to schedule the task when you restart the computer because the conversion cannot be completed while the operating system is running. When you are prompted, click YES.
 3.   When you receive the following message at the command prompt, type the volume label of the drive that you are converting, and then press ENTER:
The type of the file system is FAT.
Enter the current volume label for drive drive letter
 4.   When the conversion to NTFS is complete, you receive the following message at the command prompt:
    Conversion complete
 5.   Quit the command prompt.

I've had the Elvira for 3 weeks now and I'm very happy with it. Great value for 2100.

Before Elvira I tried the Xtreamer Sidewinder 2 and the Elvira works just as well- as a media player.
Wala lang sya online capabilities, but I never really got to use it in the Xtreamer anyway, since I have a computer.

Regarding the slow browsing in the main menu, I found a solution to this. Just press the home button at the upper right corner of the remote, and it will automatically take you to the sub menu which is much faster.

Got an Elvira last week and notice this small problem. Wondering if this is normal.
It auto powers on when I turn on the switch of the surge suppressor.
Also, I tried to remove the AC adapter and plug it in again to verify this is really happening, and it did happen.
It seems the unit, upon receiving electricity, powers on automatically without the need to press the power button from the unit or the remote.
Is this a feature or a defect?

If this is so, then it seems to work the same as my WDTV Gen1 NMT. Upon plugging the AC adapter to AC power, the unit runs on immediately. No need to press Power-On on the remote. Isn't a big problem w/ me anyway.

Thanks for letting us know that Elvira behaves the same way.

Same thing with mine. It was designed that way. Like Ppoooh, I had a wdtv before and the elvira behaves the same way when I switch on the voltage regulator.

It's not a big problem, but really annoying.
I just hope they can fix this with future firmware release.  :)
Thanks for your replies

My friend asked me to test out his Elvira because he was encountering problems and this is what I experienced

1. random reboots (no signal then it will start the boot up process again)

2. black screen hang (the screen will show no video/audio and you must pull out the plug)

anyone else encountered something similar?

Thanks.

Try upgrading the firmware first. If problem persists, go back to the seller and claim the warranty
