iTunes Movies store
« on: Aug 02, 2012 at 05:34 PM »
iTunes Movies store is now open for the Philippines market.
Has anybody here tried purchasing from there?
The titles are limited at the moment, but are increasing almost everyday.

I have purchased 4 HD movies already. Real Steel, Cruel Intentions, Anonymous and Moneyball.
Prices for HD movies ranges from USD 14.99 - 19.99
SD movies are also available. As well as rentals in SD and HD.

That is a very good article. I actually read that a couple months ago.
The thing is that iTunes is now offering extra (special) features with some movies already. It also has subtitle options, and other language options. The audio and video is compressed, but Apple has done a great job at that. 25GB/50GB movies into 5GB movies, with little loss in quality or should I say without any significant loss in quality.
If you're invested in an Apple ecosystem (Mac, Apple TV, iPhone, iPad) then I think going digital via iTunes is really a good option, and I strongly believe that going digital is the way forward.

Its meaningless to compare Blu-ray source to Digital download because there is no way a digital download (present time) can better than a blu-ray disc PQ/SQ wise. But if you're a guy who just wants to watch newer release film without having to spend more and worry about storage... then Digital Copy is the way to go!! Just my $0.01

Digital vs. optical disc storage (BD specifically). For today's standards is Convenience vs. Quality.
To Boldly go where no Bluray has gone before.
