to be honest bargain na yan @ 39k.  :)

Folks, I need help. Wala na naman power yung VT30 namin. The service center already checked and its SU board daw ang sira. The problem is, wala na daw parts available even from Japan. Is this true? Sayang naman yung TV. Less than 2 years pa lang siya. Any other source of parts?

Bro, if no other options are available.  I suggest you bring the unit to a respected electronics shop and let them go into component level or repair.  You'd be surprised that sometimes the components that needed to be replaced are busted capacitors widely available in Raon.  Good luck!

Try to find a way to contact Panasonic Japan Customer Service directly.   I cant believe that there are no more parts for a 3-year old TOTL TV.   Minimum standard is 5 to 8 years from last production date.  They can even source parts from returned units.  Baka tinatamad lang yung service center that you contacted.  And yeah, worst case, the board itself can potentially be repaired through replacement of certain discrete components - basta marunong yung gagawa.

Nice to see this thread is still alive. I have had no problems at all with my 42VT30.  I am considering putting this in my bedroom and getting a 50 inch plasma for the living room.  What would be considered the top of the line 50 inch unit.  Are there any brand new Pannys still in the market? What would the options be?

How much you want to sell it for?

Note that 51in Plasmas by Samsung were in the vicinity of P28K brandnew.

Are the 28k Samsung 51's Full HD already? The VT30 series are the premium line of Panasonic Plasma TV and is Full HD already.

Also consider the apparent problem that the new owner of that panny plasma may have with parts replacement. TOTL or not, if it breaks down, the user is left with a humongous paperweight. Just saying.
