I have a 9090D. So far did not notice any static. What do you mean adjusting the volume very slowly? You are using the volume control in the AVR and not using the remote? If you are using the volume control, maybe dirty contacts lang.

i experience the same even when i use the remote, can it be my front speakers?  parang static/popcorn na mahina yung sound e. im using very old but thick audio-pro speaker wires, bundled in a cable organizer(spiral plastic thing). could that contribute?  pero ok naman yung sound pag steady lang yung volume. thanks for your help bro

Is it kind of a pop or click sound for every step the volume increases or decreases? I might have noticed that in my 9090D but never really paid any attention to it as it did not bother me. But I'll check it later to see.

tried it but did not encounter the clicking noise, baka nga pag coax/digital... few weeks ago kasi pinalitan ko yung input ko from coax to analog rca.

I sometimes encounter this slight ticking. What I do is lower the volume to oodb. Then increase to listening volume. Nawawala naman. Active equalization is on and playing mp3 files.

According to the article I read, the surround sound is designed not to overpower the fronts. It only gives ambiance and sound effects. Also, the surround must be placed around three feet high measured from your listening ears and directly at your side. It may also be due to the source. I noticed that when the source is not 5.1, the surround volume is very low.

Ser, anong software pwede gamitin? i use itunes lang kasi for audio.

When i stream my mp3's to my NMT, no clicking...  confirmed na sa source nga.

Same here, have no issue like that (static sound). Have you used the self calibrating set-up? Though I have to lower the front L/R (0/0) and keep the center auto set level (+3). Increase the subwoofer level (Velo CHT8R, +3).  Surround all 0.  Sweet set up with zero distortion, volume level at 20.

Yes sir, it's worth it especially if lahat ng kailangan mong features ay nandoon naman.

I just acquired a 2nd hand 9060d which requires 8-12 ohms speakers. I have wharfedale diamond 8 set of speakers which are 6 ohms. Can the 9060d handle the speakers? What's the danger in the long run? What can you recommend? TIA.

After 8 years, My 9090D shows sign of giving up. The display would no longer light up unless you give it a good whack on the sides or on the top. After a while, it goes out again. I tried to find the solder joint that caused this problem. Luckily found the joint after 3 trial and error, resoldered, and now good to go again. It is on the solder joint at the pc board at the back of the display. Hope this helps in case your unit has  a similar problem.
