I just now remembered I have a Belkin K62 bluetooth receiver hooked up to my office audio setup. With few clicks, I am now playing my morning music with my laptop as my source.

The Belkin outputs L-R analog signals which I feed to one of the analog inputs of my amp. I however am used to feeding my DACs with digital signals from other music "jukebox" - a netbook dedicated to the audio setup. Having my music on my laptop which I take everywhere can be neat so I am wondering if there is some way to wirelessly feed my DAC(s).

Recommendations please.

Yes, its possible.

If you're using a USB DAC that runs in bulk transfer mode, a low latency wireless USB hub may be your answer. Isochronous USB devices may not work very well with most wireless adapters. There are also other USB extension technologies, if you want to explore them (most are bandwidth-limited, however).

If you're using an SPDIF DAC, check out the Audioengine D2 (or other similar wireless spdif products).

Hi Bro. Actually, I'm using the Musiland Monitor 03 US

. I've other DACs but this is the mainstay which I want to feed wirelessly. Do you have a specific model in mind? Where can I get one?

There are a lot of wireless hubs in Amazon, but they generally don't offer a very reliable connection for audio as latency and bandwidth often suffers (especially in electrically noisy environments and/or challenging spans). CD quality probably won't be a problem (some can even get 96/24 or higher to work with certain devices and short spans), but I won't recommend this option unless you want to experiment. You may not be able to successfully run WASAPI Event Mode in such a connection, and you may have to max out the data buffer.

There are also routers with USB sharing, but I've yet to see these work for audio (benches seem to tell that they're even slower).

I tried the Cambridge Audio NP30 of Jason aka courage.
I was able to play FLAC files from my android phone to NP30 through a wifi server...
Audio controls is also through my android phone

You may also consider the NAD wireless DAC but it only supports 16bit/44KHz files

Bro. Use an airport express connected to your dac and you can send music files through wifi. If you dont want to use itunes you need to download a program called airfoil it can make any program airplay compatible. But im not sure if the new airport express could send files higher than 16/44. HTH

Thanks for the suggestion Bro but I've not been a user of Apple products since they abandoned the Apple II community.

That's a wireless USB hub. Worth a try kung gusto mo talaga wireless. Take note that the range and latency numbers aren't spectacular. Kung across a small room lang baka kaya.

USB DAC ata gamit nya, so the airport express won't work. SPDIF out lang kasi yung digital audio connection ng Airport Express.

Those Network USB servers are interesting. One thought is to use them for network storage using a multi-bay HDD enclosure with a USB interface possibly providing a "Greener" solution for a SOHO NAS capability.

The ones I've been able to find do support USB speakers but I wonder if a device like my Musiland Monitor 03 US would be recognized as such. The Musiland Monitor 03 US has a special device driver so it may not be recognized by the hub or be presented on the network as the device it should be.

I should probably look for a more dedicated solution. Something like a network bridge that would just moves signals straight across empty space.

Another solution just to meet my laziness would be to have that Windows Music Jukebox discussed in another thread and then just do a remote desktop to it from my desk 4-5 meters away

Get the Cambridge Audio NP30. You can use your Laptop to push Audio files there via Jrivers or foobar. You can also remote the NP30 via Tablet or IPAD. You can connect your Musiland DAC to the NP30 or use it's internal DAC..

Medyo mahal nga lang ang NP30.. But it's very good and capable player of lossless files upto 24/96 resolution...

You can visit my place if you want to check it out bro before buying..

It turns out it's a lot more than just a wireless link.

Interesting ... but ... "(Ethernet connection required for 24-bit files)". Am I reading this right that it will not play 24 bit files over a Wi-Fi connection?

Base on my experience with the unit, when using it's wireless function... Flaky mag play ang wav files na 24/96... Pag Flac na 24/96 ok sya...

Pag connected via ethernet wala problem kahit ano..

24/96 FLACS yes
24/96 WAV - Flaky.. It stops and go

Another thing, my wireless is N nga pala and my laptop is N so it's faster.. The reason they dont recommend wifi is because of poor speed and poor signal kung malayo ka sa wifi router.. In my case magkatabi yung NP30 at nasa baba lang nung rack yung router...

Pag WAV lang na 24/96 ako nagkaka problem...

I have a collection of 24/96 Flacs and they play fine in wireless..

Punta ka sa bahay bring your collection of 96khz para ma test mo for sure...

I don't think the Monitor 03US would work with it. Though yes, he can use the internal DAC.
