cheap cd/dvd player (with digital out) plus external DAC ??

will this setup improve the sound quality ?

I was thinking of a cheaper alternative for an audiophile grade CDP.

your thoughts mga sirs?

Am happy with my Philips Bluray player (BDP3100 @ Php3.5k) on digital out to my external dac.  Even the movies sound great on stereo set-up!

i have Pioneer DV610 dvd/cd players. audio analog output is NOT good, per my taste. tapped the digital signal and hooked to a relatively inexpensive external dac [superpro 707 usb dac].. viola !! very good audio SQ !!

audio/music CD => Pioneer DV610 => digital signal => external dac => analog signal => vacuum tube equipped Class A preamp => s/s dual mono Class A amp => transducers (Dynaudio Confidence C1)

YMMV  ;)

brother June, i will try this week a branded dual mono class A tube preamp which is considered one of the rolls royce of tube pre.. if it behaves well i will ping you for our coffee/audio chat   ;)
