We can't really complain that much, it's business after all. If these business corporations allow these controversies to happen, then we won't be able to do anything about it. If you really are disgusted with the way things are being handled then don't watch the games, live or on tv.

Why is SMC willing to shoulder 3 teams officially, even 4 before when the gate attendance was at an all-time low? Why have Alaska, the MVP teams and ROS not left the league despite all of these issues? Because the profit and other gains far exceed the expenses. The PBA is not really all about giving to the fans, even though that is the propaganda. The PBA is all about earning money for the different business corporation members.

In many ways, almost every sport nowadays is a business ...... even the Olympics. But it doesn't mean that spectators can't complain with the intensity that they want, when controversies or shenanigans happen.

Besides, every one watching live or on TV is a paying customer - why wouldn't one complain if he/she sees something wrong?

I've long been disgusted and complained about the way things work in the PBA - but not when that jump-ball is thrown by the referee and the game gets going. I'm very sure that its the same with most everyone else ..... that is, they still watch the game because they enjoy watching the ACTUAL sport.

It is about money for these franchises in the PBA, but it is still a sport where everyone is expected to compete, follow the rules and promote fair play.

i just feel that the reason why this thing is going on, wala kaseng nag reklamo, siguro kung mag aalsa ang fans baka matauhan na sila baka sakaling tablan na sila ng hiya, ang PBA naging para na ding politika, puno ng corruption at panlilinlang.

Exactly bro ...... the very few times that lopsided transactions were "exposed", Comm. Cheato Salud set aside his SMCorp bias and stopped the transaction dead on its track.

Case in point, the very 1st attempt by POWERADE to trade Marcio Lassiter to PETRON ...... AKTV revealed a very damning document which showed an intent to sell the franchise to SMCorp, signed no less by the COCA-COLA CEO.

Both PETRON and POWERADE were caught with their pants down, leaving Comm. Cheato Salud with no choice but to veto the trade. Of course, Salud waited a conference to let the issue die down, before approving the trade.

Much similar to the PDAF issue, titigil lang ang mga nangbababoy kapag madaming umanagal, magalit at humingi nang aksyon.

Of course this is basketball ...... where a great majority of fans don't care about the cheating as long as their favorite team (more specifically, their pogi idols) wins.

The final line-ups for every PBA team has been submitted ...... lo and behold, absent from the BARAKO BULL roster are Wesley Gonzales & Cris Pacana.

http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/story/335221/sports/basketball/pba-with-rosters-submitted-teams-brace-for-the-start-of-the-philippine-cup

These two were the players that BARAKO got for trading their star-player Allein Maliksi to SMC.

Why would a team trade away its best player, in exchange for scrubs which they will not use (both Gonzales & Pacana didn't play a minute for BARAKO) nor will they sign to a contract ??

Masyado kayong halata Bert Lina, George Chua & Tim Cone.  ;)

Now, it's 100% guaranteed that scrub Labagala wont last in the BARAKO lineup as well ....... Labagala was the player that BARAKO got after trading away lead PG Eman Monfort.  ;)

Ah the PBA. I have no interest watching it anymore.
Nowadays i prefer watching those PBA greatest games specially those games played by the Jawo led Ginebra San Miguel.
Even those imports of old are far better fun to watch compared to the recent batches of imports w/c cant really dominate due to the evolution of basketball.
Gee yoU aRe yoU!

Very notable as well is that Danny Seigle and Rico Maierhoffer has not been signed by any team YET scrubs like Eddie Laure, Paolo Hubalde and Leo Avenido have been signed.

Maierhofer is injured and has been placed on the injured/reserved list of BARAKO ..... he will be back on the active roster as soon as healthy. He'll play a few games for BARAKO then be sold este traded to an SMCorp team.

Seigle has declined the farce team of BARAKO ...... he's still good enough to play and will likely end up with another team soon.

ALASKA values Laure's leadership. Avenido is a nice rotation player for it's thin SG lineup ..... he was an ABL MVP not too long ago. Besides, signing-up both Laure & Avenido is further proof that ALASKA adheres to the salary cap rules.

Completely agree on Paolo Hubalde ...... it's a wonder why this player always finds himself a spot on an SMC team. He is one of many draft failures of Jong Uichico.

Hubalde either ends up w/ an SMC PBA team or the ABL...swerte! :D

Baka gagawin siyang one of the assistant coaches ng Petron? Para macontinue nya din un pagmentor kac Fajardo. Pero sayang pa din..hindi man lang nakapagretire si Ildefonso habang suot ang uniform ng Petron. Tsk tsk.

Based on the 1st half of the SMC-Ginebra game, Sangalang seems to be adjusting well to his team and the PBA game. He actually looks comfortable in Tim Cone's system. He knows where to position himself on offense and he's active on defense. Si Slaughter naman is slow. He can't get position at the post against Yancy and his footwork isn't that polished. Di rin maganda spacing ng Ginebra kaya mukhang nawawala siya. He's slow rin defensively and tentative.

At the other game naman, Kelly Williams doesn't look like someone who's been away from the game for quite a while. He's fit, moving well and very active.
