nice to see that the hefty serving of special features in the blu ray release are also in the 2-disc dvd  :D

anybody else having a problem regarding the 2 disc dvd region 3 version?, the special features area "ENDING THE KNIGHT", there are some sections sometimes it doesn't play and sometimes it does... but the "THE BATMOBILE" section is working fine...

i'll try now if it will play on my laptop...

^ it works fine on my lapy... i'm now trying it again on the dvd player, still same problem...

mmm... there might be something wrong with my player (sony dvd model KLV-32300A) - that player is part of the ht set i have which is bravia v series model DAV-DZ555K, for years now... only once it's been fixed -year 2010(replacement of the optical) from official sony service center...

but there can't be something wrong with the player because i've been using legit dvds/cds(rarely cds) on it for years(as always), and recent weeks/days... mmm... oh well...

i'll observe it the next time i watch dvd movies on it.

(oh yeah on a side note, at the back of the dvd player it says 3, most of my small dvd collection are 98% region 3s, my region 1's can be counted in one hand, BUT SURPRISINGLY it also plays r1s... LoL)

^No surprise. Most DVD players in the country are region free since 2003 onwards, regardless of the region code stamped on their back. Maybe even earlier.

For those who bought the Blu-ray, how was the Video and Audio quality of it? Is the IMAX Scenes exciting?

IMAX scenes are the best. Its a good thing that there's more IMAX than 35mm in this one considering that the 35mm scenes are soft, much more like Batman Begins PQ (but a little better).

The sound quality is consistent all throughout. Though I may not call it noisy, but it's loud! First time I had to adjust the volume at low levels. Bane's voice gives the chills.

I think the 1,550 TDK Trilogy is worth it.

Absolutely - the trilogy is a perfect way to celebrate this era of Batman, all 3 films comes in 2discs and the DVD package is not bad at all

The Dark Knight Trilogy Collector's Edition is out in local stores today :)

5500 - set without the Hotwheels toys
7500 - set with Hotwheels

I'm thinking really hard if I would buy the set without the toys. Anyone who was able to purchase any version?

What is the scale of the hotwheels and what particular vehicle? I got mine as a separate buy. Hotwheels tumbler and separate BD set only.

I'm sorry, but I have to make this comment: Is online shopping an option for you? The local pricing just sounds ridiculous when you look at other available options:

If you purchase the Blu-ray set with the three Hot Wheels vehicles, a 64-page book, and Mondo collectible art cards from Amazon.Com, it only comes out to 4,100 pesos, including standard shipping. Even if you end up having to pay customs duties of even up to 2,000 pesos, it will still be significantly cheaper than the 7500 they're asking for. And if you're lucky and don't have to pay any duties, it'll cost less than the bare bones set.

Conversely, order it from Amazon UK and including shipping, it comes out to 3,340 pesos. Even with customs duties, it will be much cheaper.

@Mr. Hankey, you're absolutely right...I don't know why they're charging that much here.
