I think it's P3990.00 same with SM and Anson's. Nakasale kasi. Seems okay naman madali naread un R1 disc. Although di ko makita un cinavia effect since usually halfway through the movie raw lalabas un note sa screen na wala nang audio.

What BD player can you recommend that can read R1 DVDs?

I had an LG BD550 din before. Mabilis siya magload kesa sa Cambridge Audio and Pioneer BDPs ko. Di naman ako nagkaproblema, medyo oversaturated lang yung colors and lesser ang noise reduction. I think Conan has the same model.

Check out Sony stores din, Atty. I think they carry the BDP-S190 and the BDP-S590 locally.

Just saw this now, yup I also have the LG BD-550. No complaints about the unit though it hardly gets used due to my media player.

@DTNS if you will use a Bluray player to play audio CD's it will sound far off from a stand-alone quality CD player.

I have the 3110. Seriously considered the 150 back then because of how elegant it looks. But since i dont need the network connectivity or the 3d functionality, i got the 3110. It works very well as a bd player and its quite fast in reading my bluray discs. I actually dont see any lag using this. Havent tried the usb port though, since I have a separate media player for that purpose.

I am looking at pio 450 only because of the two hdmi outputs..I don't want to upgrade my avr..so I am looking for a bluray player that can pass the video directly to the tv and the audio directly to the avr..

I saw a pio 450 box at a window and instantly saw the two hdmi outs..sony s790 is the other choice..1st bd player purchase..I am an NMT user..but since I upgraded to a good display hoping a bd player will be a nice addition

Sir, does your avr have an optical in? Why not use that instead for audio then use hdmi for video so your choices wont be that limited.

as far as i know optical does not pass dolby true hd, has to do with the anti piracy thing.

Tested the Pioneer 3110 at Western-Trinoma earlier and it played my R1 DVD...also the Sony...but the Philips/Samsung/LG BD players can't...although may Cinavia yata....?

I would just like to confirm that the Pioneer BDP-3110 is indeed multi-region when it comes to dvd's. I bought one yesterday and it played my R1, R2 & R3 discs.

I tested out the bdp 450 a couple times this past month. I compared it with a sony 350. Pq for me looks excellent, but I tweaked the settings on the player. I haven't tried the out of the box settings yet. The great pq is more noticeable when I pause it. During playback you might not notice it that much but on some movies that I watched recently like Batman (keaton) and Jurrasic park 3, I went wow!! Ganda man.  ;D I have to test it out more (compare also to ps3) bec. baka sa mind ko lang yun wow ko hehehe..

For dvd, I think it has no match vs my oppo 980 and my toshiba a35. I have to check again. The oppo 980 is one hell of a player.  ;)

Hi sir, i got it at ansons in trinoma for 14,990 at 24 months to pay. At first i dont want to get it, but when the salesman offered me the 24 months to pay, i grabbed it right away hehe. I thought this is a good price/deal na bec compared to the oppo 103, the pioneer is readily available here, no risk and warranty hassle like when you buy things abroad. The only thing i dont like is the remote control. The are also no analog outs if you need this. Btw, One more positive i forgot to mention is the build of this player is quite solid.
