On a similar note, BFI will release a dual format of Brocka's Manila in the Claws of Light next month with Insiang included in the same package.

Criterion Announces June Titles

The Criterion Collection will release seven new titles on Blu-ray in June: Sam Peckinpah's Straw Dogs, Alfred Hitchcock's The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog, Nicholas Ray's They Live by Night, Kenji Mizoguchi's Ugetsu, and The Marseille Trilogy.

What is taking Criterion so long to announce Stalker?? That's probably the first day one purchase I will make of a Criterion title since I started collecting. Similarly, I'm also tempted to grab the BFI two-pack of Maynila and Insiang instead of waiting for Maynila (which is going to be the same print anyway and I doubt the extras will be that much).

The Criterion Collection has announced that it will add six new titles to its Blu-ray catalog in July: Andrei Tarkovsky's Stalker, Albert Brooks' Lost in America, Robert Bresson's L'argent, and Roberto Rossellini's War Trilogy.
