OK. I got this from Western. It's not 1,600. It's on sale at 1,899. Anson's has it for 1,999. Anyway, some haggling brought in down a bit to 1,850. I wanted the non-karaoke DV-3022V but the only ones available are DV-3022KV, which are karaoke models. The specs are the same, except that it has pitch control. Might find that useful for some CD's which were mastered a tad faster than the original recording. Billy Joel's Cold Spring Harbor album/CD is an example.
I did play DVD's too. This is an all-regions DVD player. The picture quality is quite good. It's got HDMI and should upscale to 1080p when connected to an HDTV. It somewhat has difficulty reading some gray-market DVDs. And because of that, I'm keeping the Konzert DVD player that can easily read any DVD I play in its tray.
I'll just use the Pioneer DV3022 exclusively for CD's. I'm playing CD's on this now. And it's a markedly improved audio sound over the Konzert
