« on: Jan 04, 2013 at 05:05 AM »
On occasons some parts of the movie in MP4 format have this issue, is this a player problem (VLC) or a MP4vsoftware problem or maybe hardware problem Dell notebool?

IMHO lang Sir Benj its with the file that we download in mp4 container, I have some files that do this but also some that are not.  If its the latter 2 that you mentioned then all of your files should behave the same diba? based on my own observation only some of my files behave that way, just sharing.

In my experience, it's the file, kasi if papalitan ko yung file, gumagana na. :)
If hardware ang me prob, sabay ang lag (or worse - hang) ng audio and video. :)
I could be wrong on this though..... hmmmm....

try to isolate the problem

First thing you may try

-Used a desktop or another laptop and play those MP4 files that has issue.
-Try NMT if available

if those files are working properly on another machine then you may isolate the problem on your computer

either VLC and the DELL Computer itself..

Ewan.  Hindi mo dinescribe yung file e.

But it's most likely a file problem.

Madalas yan sa advance release Russian DVD with Russian dub.  English audio is muxed from microphone recordings or line recordings from legit movie theaters.

Siyempre out of sync.  Pag sobra na ang layo ng ng advance/delay, hahabulin ng adjust, ok na, tapos lalayo na naman ang sync, biglang adjust na naman.  That's why the audio goes in and out of sync, magkaiba kasi ang source ng audio and video.

Pag consistenly out of sync throughout, mali ang sync sa encoding.  Pag progressively drifting out of sync, magkaiba ang frame rate ng video and audio.  Pag drifting in and out of sync, yon ang mahiwaga, magkaiba ang source ng audio and video, hinahabol lang manually ng adjust as the run time progresses.

hOLD your horses, played the same file and the sections where it was not in sync is now ok and some sections that was ok before is now not in sync, so its not the file.
