Topic: How can I bitstream from PS3 to Receiver?

For some reason, I can't bitstream from PS3 to my Yamaha when playing games. PCM lumalabas sa receiver ko. But when I play BDs using my PS3, ok naman - lumalabas pa nga DTS-HD master.

gav ...lahat ng games ba?  Pcm kasi afaik si ps3 na nagdecode ng audio then send nya as pcm signal to yamaha pero dts or dd un or hd audio...  Ps3 slim what version?

5.1 pa din naman yan..si ps3 lang ang nadedecode ng audio...same same...un nga lang hindi mo makit kung dolby or dts...unlike na ung yammy and nagdedecode ng raw audio coming from ps3 nakikita mo ung audio format...

I have a similar problem.

I have a PS3 Slim and a Denon AVR-X500.  When I play games like Tekken 6 (which has Dolby Digital audio), the receiver displays Multi-Channel Stereo, instead of Dolby Digital.

Sa Sound Settings ng PS3, naka-set siya to HDMI Automatic so it should be able to decode the signal properly. 

Is there a way to get the PS3 to bitstream audio?

Im using a PS4 as player connected to an old Yamaha RV530.  PS4 HDMI to TV and with optic cable from PS4 to Yamaha. 

Same as the TS, 70mm General yung nasa display. 

Any way we can change this?
