may ganyan pala sa samsung!!!  wierd, bakit hindi ginawang pare-parehas.  how much cost ang natipid nila going with only single HDR HDMI port =(

It's already out.

Wow!!! $19,999!!!
At that price, I think another very good option is to get a Sony VPL-vw675 Native 4K HDR Projector @ $14,999 and 120" Screen Innovations Black Diamond Zero Edge Screen :)

The X850D selling price is hurt by the smaller screen sizes using IPS panels. The 85" model uses a VA panel however, which works in its favor. If you don't need UHD Premium levels of intensity and contrast, this is a good alternative (lower SRP, plus well discounted being a 2016 model unit). Sony skipped the 85" size in 2017 models, afaik.

Sony is transitioning more of its model lines back to VA panels for 2017, which is a refreshing change. Only the lower end models are now running IPS panels.

Pardon my ignorance sir,
I have the Samsung UNJU7100, and I love its picture quality,
I seldom rely on reviews online, I rely on what looks good to my eyes,
I have been seeing some discussions about IPS panels on the LG tv,
I really have no idea what it is though, I don't even know what panel is on my 75,
well, anyway, is it an advantage or a disadvantage if the panel is an IPS,..?

Saw the Sony XBR-85X850D up close, but somehow I felt that the Samsung still has the edge in terms of
color rendition as well as picture quality,...

JU7100 (and almost all Samsung) TVs have VA panels. The 85X850D runs a VA panel too (the smaller X850D variants use IPS panels).

Generally, IPS allows for wider viewing angles but suffers in terms of contrast, black levels and uniformity. VA panels offer superior contrast, black levels and uniformity, but are worse in terms of viewing angles.

This could well be a good deal if it truly is a QLED screen with HDR and Android TV.  This will also be cheaper from online retailers as opposed to Abenson.

how does QLED compare with LG's Nano Cell Technology?

I prefer QLED. Much higher contrast ratio and better color volume. It's still VA vs IPS, afterall.

Samsung QLED units are available in the Philippines:
-Q7F (flat)
and
-Q8C (curved)

No word if Q9F will be sold in the Philippine market....
