We've had a Panasonic 50-PV70 for over 5 years. Locally purchased new Made in Japan unit. No visible problems, no repairs. We use it quite a lot and no problems. Plugged into a 1000 VA UPS and Stavol AVR.

Made the big leap to flat panel, LCD TV technology.  Got the Sharp Aquos 37BX5M last Saturday night.  Been in break in mode all day yesterday.  Really great panel, so far I'm very satisfied with it.

Bahala na yung bad rep nila about after sales service.  ??? I'm hoping the unit is durable enough for me not to need any, in the next few years.

March 24, 2007. 6.25 years and still going strong! Now the sala tv, used for SkyCable analog channels, and kiddie DVD.

Panasonic kicks! I have Panasonic 21" CRT Sophia Panablack with a subwoofer speaker. It is still delivering quality goods from 1998, the year when I have my first serious salary to replace a 14" black and white Panasonic TV my sister brought when she had her first serious salary too, maybe around 1990. Long life it is for Panasonic, these two TVs are the TVs were still using in our house. The monochrome TV is on our mothers' bedroom and our ever reliable color tv is on our "sala" until now. We love Panasonic. Actually I am leaning towards Plasma from Panasonic again sometimes when most cable broadcasts are in HD resolutions. What can I say, thank you Panasonic for your uber high quality product TV! This is the real TV long life experience. Whew!
