ang mahal pa dati  :o

Yes indeed so expensive compared to today. I remember the Samsung 40 inch same model Mga 169,990. Yun Sony mas expensive pa for the same size. I think they are around double the price of Samsung.

samsung la32r71 built like a tank. no issues. used for gaming, ht. now relegated to Free TV (antenna).

Acquired in 2006 for 99k :o

Yes indeed. I still remember the price because it was my first flat screen tv, 89990. Installment Ako hehe. The only problem I have is the remote, which I recently bought from Samsung for around 800 pesos ata, pero different looks na, which I thought is better.

my samsung 32in lcd was @43K back then. It still works but is more power hungry than my 50in led, which is way more cheaper than sammy's orig price. :)

Panasonic 42PV70 2008
Only problem i had is it developed a green hue if nagamit ng matagal. Solved it by installing cooling fans sa likod.

I still have my HITACHI Plasma PD7800TA, got this in 2001 for a whopping price. Still works fine after all these years, as I think we already have 3 LCD TVs that broke down during those period. I pass it to my Mom's room & still works like new after all these years w/out a glitch :)

Oh my control pa for POWER-SWIVEL for the screen movement  :D

I'm sure this was a 6-digit investment back then.  If you look at the durability, sulit pa rin kahit 6 digits back then.  Tagal lang nang ROI.  :)

My Aquos from '06 is still going strong, and is now our masters bedroom TV.

Hi Vic,  I have the same problem with my 6 yr old 42PV70.  Where in the back did you install the cooling fan?

Yes Pao presently, I could say sulit talaga even very expensive talaga at the buying period of this monitor. Imagine the torture this has gone thru POWER OUTAGES, LOW VOLTAGE FLUCTUATIONS & SUDDEN SURGES from Brown-outs. Buhay Buhay pa. Hopefully many more years pa ito.

i just placed 3 PC cooling fans sa exhaust vents on near the top where it really gets hot. its helps sucking out the heat from the vents

PIONEER PDP-427XG bought mid 2006, repaired once in 2011 and still working.

Sadly, bought it around Php170K :-( just before the prices started to tumble in 2007.

May nauna na 32 inch, I sold that before I got this 40 incher. Now I am itching again for a 65 inch panel :(

oo nga, nakakasama ng loob, alam ko around 92k yata sya nung una or more pa so in a way bargain padin yung 85k pero ngayon 65 inches halos half of our acquisition cost.

I have  Panasonic 42" LCD bought 2010 from US... Almost 15 hours usage daily... No issues...

I noticed nawala din yung backlight bleeding nya... When it arrived kasi 5 years ago may backlight bleeding and my dad who sent it wasnt able to check... Pero ngayon wala na yung bleeding... I wonder why...

Made the big leap to flat panel, LCD TV technology.  Got the Sharp Aquos 37BX5M last Saturday night.  Been in break in mode all day yesterday.  Really great panel, so far I'm very satisfied with it.

Bahala na yung bad rep nila about after sales service.  ??? I'm hoping the unit is durable enough for me not to need any, in the next few years.

R.I.P.

Thanks for the many years of enjoyment.  Kahit 85k pa pricing mo noon, na-sulit ka na rin.
