tama si sir xrampage. But it's really up to the user on what he intends to do with his rig and his budget. If you plan to use exclusively for HTPC purposes the A10 is better because the GPU is much better compared to the intel counterpart. And the electricity it consumes is much lower compared to the i5. But if you plan to create a multi purpose with that includes gaming, and other multi threaded applications then you would be better off with intel.

Of course if the budget is 20k for mobo and board i would go for Haswell na din and get a dedicated GTX770

Haha lol bahala na nga si jay 20k naman budget basta ako amd fan boi for HTPC lang.

Pero sa power efficient pa din ako na mura kung HTPC din lang naman sa intel naman ill get the i3 i3-3250T @ 35 watts + Sapphire VC 68xx series with DDR5 memory + Asus P8Z77 M Pro

Mag ITX build naman ako pero like ko pa din madami sata port. Adik sa sata port..

Eto na suggestion ko ayan may kasama ng memory and VC more than 20k pero budget mo sa cpu and mobo di ba 20k? hahaha

Sa gilmore available yan kay pchub.

Ayaw ko ng case mo tower mas like ko minimalist na maliit.

mas maganda built in ng amd kung walang vc...kung sure ka na magvc ka then approved kung matatagalan mag amd a10 ka nalang tapos fusion with 7series radeon

Is this for gaming or video playback?

Most Haswell processors support 4K when using the IGP, as long as you're limiting yourself to 30Hz. Only selected models can do 4k/60p with SST mode. Just get a motherboard with HDMI or DP output to connect.

For gaming, the R9 295X2 is probably the most sensible 4K graphics adapter. It does not do hardware decoding of 4k video, however. Power supply and case design should also be compatible with the design of this extreme level gaming adapter.

For video playback, the R9 285 has the best performing video decoder in mainstream 3d accelerator boards (capable of decoding 5 simultaneous 4k30p or 2 simultaneous 4k60p h.264 streams). Nvidias of the same level are capped to a single 4k30p h.264 stream.

If you can wait for them, the next gen GPUs may start to have hardware support for h.265 playback and HDMI 2.0.

Meron na, Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 and GTX 970.

Intel and AMD would likely have it by next year.
