Sad to say Sir Vic, the unit was purchase outside pdvd, on sulit ko po ito nabili....at di maganda after sales nila.

Yun ang scary part. Kaya for me, even if other sellers come out a little cheaper, dito pa din sa kilalang sellers ng PDvd, lalo na yun mga brick and mortar stores dito.

Ganun din ako, mas gusto ko 'yung brick and mortar stores for peace of mind!  ;)

for "slim"-type (edgelit) LED and CCFL ("fat") LCD tvs, yes. unfortunately. :(

this is why I prefer plasma or full array LED tvs.

Medyo OT ng onti, pero napansin ko lang, parang hindi rin naman substantial ang difference ng price ng not so known brands against the big brands. Minsan nga mas mahal pa yung mga models nila... :(

noticed this too.kaya imho, hindi ko majustify ang purchase ng not so known brands vs yung big name one.

Magtake risk lang siguro ako kung 50% ang price difference at the same specs. Or yung tipong hindi masyadong gagamitin, say para sa kusina or garahe or work area etc...

Ganyan din sa Samsung na nabili ko. But I was just too lazy to return it for warranty. Hassle and I dont think theres a guarantee since LEDs are prone namane talaga sa ganiyan. After more than a year, hindi naman siya lumala. If it gets worse, may rason na magpalit uli.

Just a thought, nakakatulong ba ang AVR servo motor or a UPS para malessen or even prevent backlight bleeding?

I got my 42 in LED MyView for 18k vs. branded 40 in LED starting at 27k (based on SnS price lists July 2013)

Nagmadali kasi ako to get rid of my faulty (dust like particles) nung Panasonic LCD ko (42u20), sold it for 12k & ayun dagdag lang ng konti at may LED na ako....kaso...ayun sakit pa rin pala sa ulo, did'nt experience this with my Panny e.

yeah but normal lang yung bleeding talaga pag edge lit. even top tier tvs still suffer from bleeding basta edge-lit. yung thread na nilink mo was about a plasma tv yata that went byebye bigla. I doubt if the backlight bleeding will cause your tv to die ng biglaan.

best option for tipid sa kuryente (pero sobrang mahal ng presyo) - full-array backlight with local dimming.
best option if kuryente is not an issue- plasma (usually ranging ang wattage from 200+ to 300+)
hehehe..tama, buti full array led backlight w/local dimming nalang if u dont like plasma panel.

They even have a brochure for it (E38), pero nawala ko na yata 'yung brochure sayang!

- Direct LED

SOURCE: http://www.iskyworth.com/upload/201342338727181.pdf - 42E38 (my unit) is Direct LED TV and NOT Edgelit LED TV according to this brochure/catalogue

Yes, the 32LH70YR is a LCD which uses CCFL back lights. Those mas uniform ang light distribution sa LCD, LED has deeper blacks. LED has sometimes over saturated and inaccurate colors however once you have the colors and brightness under control, I believe LED has the advantage.

and yes..my slight hint of backlight bleeding, pero sa household namin..ako lang nakaka-kita nito..no biggie ;)
