Just saw the Sony A1 65-inch model at Ansons Cash and Carry. PQ is really premium quality. Looks like Sony has a winner in the OLED category. Hopefully their price gets competitive. I think that it is as good or better than the LG's that are on display.

SONY's better picture and sound comes with a 50t premium.  For a few people, it is worth paying for :)

I haven't seen a conclusive review that says either Sony or LG is better than the other.

The only OLED auditioning I ever did was in Akihabara during the last Holy Week and for me LG was ahead on PQ.  The saledude there (who's Japanese, obviously) even agreed with me. ;D

I am assuming LG still uses their highest bin panels for their flagship and high end models. The Panasonic and Sony OLEDs are closer to LG's midrange when it comes to sheer panel measurements (intensity, color volume, image retention, etc.).

Word on the street is Sony has better processing, but a quick look at rtings.com reveal very small differences overall and they go with LG because of the price difference. After all, they all are the same LG panels anyway.

For OLED B6 owners is there a way we can change the background pictures and the screensaver?

My B6 upgraded to 05.30.03. Except for the new wall paper I haven't noticed any difference. I don't know if the Info at the left corner whenever I watch Netflix is a new feature, I just saw it last night when I accidentally pressed the Info button on my remote.

One info I saw is Video: 7.63 MBps / 2160. Is 2160 the resolution? I just notice that it varies between 1080 - 2160 from time to time.

Could you take photos of that and the Netflix feature and post it here?

Ok, let's see if this works

Sorry for the photo quality. The info I'm referring to is the one at the upper left corner. Not sure if this is a new feature of the update. Anyway, the 2160 in the info, is that the resolution of 4K video stream?

My LG OLED automatically switches to a Dolby Vision picture setting when a dolby vision movie streams, it has it's own settings etc.,

Dolby Vision picture setting is unavailable and uneditable unless a DV movie streams, may naka gets ba nito how it works and is it better than the expert calibration?

I think it is intended to display the work as how the film makers intended it to look like so you have little to no way to change it

Really? I don't have it before when I bought the unit. I tried looking for it before when I upgraded my Netflix subscription because I'm curious if Netflix is indeed streaming 4K. Maybe US model is different from what we have here? What firmware version do you have right now?

intindi ko sa dolby vision is parang push service.. no need for tweaks or anything.. it overrides whatever setup you have.. tama sabi ni sir dviant.. its how the producers and directors want you to see the movie..if its too red.. then thats the intention

Dolby Vision, in basic terms, is an end-to-end production process, from the content creation right through to mastering and then you viewing it at home. Because it's an end-to-end process, the metadata in each frame can be dictated by Dolby and then compatible equipment can read it and understand it exactly how it was meant to be. It means you'll get the best possible viewing experience. HDR10 on the other hand relies on the HDR TV itself to determine how to interpret the metadata and display it.
