Yes, no stuttering. I'm transitioning to 1080 and 2160.

LG's LCD TVs get similar lag levels when running in HDR. Maybe they'd need to move to a different video processor. Sony isn't doing much better (they're also in the 60 ms region except for some isolated models).
Why I wish all these tv makers would make their tv somewhat upgrsdeable like the Samsung.

App review

webOS File (media) manager

The built-in media manager of the webOS is very basic and is only useful for managing about 10 files before it becomes cumbersome. It doesnt follow the folder hierarchy of the drive so if you arrange it in a certain way it doesnt follow that. It presents all videos as if they were all in one folder in alphabetical order which is a headache if the file names are lengthy or in the thousands.

USB port of the TV does only reads FAT & NTFS formatted drives. ExFAT and other file systems cannot be read. Android TV has no problem with this.

webOS  media player

Player built into the webOS does play .mkv in 720p, 1080p and 2160p. Maybe it is my NAS, the LAN layout or the TV itself but it buffers when playing 1080p and 2160p. I did not have problem with this when I used a USB 3.0 flash drive directly to the TV when I auditioned the TV in the store. I had this problem when I connected my NAS to the TV via LAN through two routers.

To solve the stuttering it was suggested I use PLEX. PLEX is really useful and I am thankful that they support webOS. It still did not solve my stuttering problem.

PLEX

I am running the FREE account of PLEX. Will consider getting a paid account later.

If you have a NAS for your 720p, 1080p and 2160p videos then this is a must. Really really useful.

Coupled with Netflix it allowed me to decongest my NAS by 20% getting 400GB back.

The shortcoming of webOS is negated by the PLEX app. It also includes Channels like

- PBS (full episode like FRONTLINE)
- Comedy Central (full episodes of such shows like the Daily Show with Trevor Noah. Latest episoe is 14 November 2016). Quality is 1080p at 4.9Mbps
- CNN (clips, will probably erase)
- History Channel (geoblocked)
- South Park (yes, all 20 seasons + this week's episode in 1080p)
- Comedy Central (latest full episodes of such shows like the Daily Show with Trevor Noah.)
- CBS (full episodes of such shows like 2 Broke Girls but latest season only of the latest 4 episodes) geoblocked, sadly. :(
- BBC iPlayer (geoblocked, sadly)
- History Channel (geoblocked, sadly) I blame it on aliens!

Netflix

#1 reason why buying a 2016 model 4K TV makes sense to me today. Without readily available 4K content would make me instead buy a 1080p TV or not buy a TV at all.

webOS app store

As I feared webOS app store has very few apps unlike say Android's Play Store. I had to erase all the preloaded apps because of where I live. I only kept Netflix and Youtube then added Al Jazeera, Google Maps, PLEX.

ABS-CBN

ABS-CBN app is so unuseable and the first video they played was a video clip from 2012. ABS-CBN pretty much abandoned their app.

I dont know about the rules on disclosing phone numbers and pricing on PinoyDVD so if it isn't allowed then let me know so I can remove them.

I am sharing this publicly as I'm being flooded with requests and cannot keep up.

I am doing this to "push things forward".

Prices are my haggled price.

Check olx.ph for the latest pricing then use that as your starting point for barganing.

These are 4 of the most amendable salespersons.

Number              65B6P     55B6P      Salesman
0916-433-4792   144,000   82,000 rowel anson cash & carry
0917-583-9259   148,000   90,000 melvin abenson atc
0906-233-8874   136,900   91,990 Anthony Saver's QC or LP
0927-222-5330   148,700   91,990 zaikan trinoma

Now, if 65-inch is too small then consider a 75-inch display instead.

This aren't the haggled price but offered price.

Click the link to read the user manual for detailed tech specs.

$2,999* LG 75UH6560 P103,000 ; P34.35 = $1.00
$2,998 Sony KD-75X8500D P185,000 ; P61.71 = $1.00
$8,998 Sony KD-75Z9D P358,000 ; P39.79 = $1.00

Prices to the left are its dollar price without sales tax and to the right the peso price with VAT.

*Price of the US model LG 75UH6550. I assume that the 75UH6560 is the PH version of the 75UH6550.

anson's C&C is always the clear winner.

as some may have their own contacts already, also try Boss King (a.ka. Akong_Man), Voltz also and Anya618 too.  they are external dealers (i don't know how they're called exactly), but they are the people who can help you get a better (if not the best) deals. =))

LAN (Ethernet) port:

It isn't spec'd on LG's website or their user manual but for those who need to know it's only 100Mbps not a Gigabit ethernet port.

So that's 12.5MB/s rather than 125MB/s

Fast enough for streaming 4K content from Netflix, Amazon Video and Vudu but not for 100GB 108Mbps blu ray content.

Auditioning TVs

Anson's ATC has two of the three 75-inch TV, namely the LG 75UH6560 & Sony KD-75X8500D, on display.

They also have the B6, C6 and E6 OLEDs on display as well.

You need at least a 25mbps connection to stream 4k smoothly. That's why I decided to get an xb1 s for 4k bluray playback.

Anyone in the Philippines able to install the Amazon app on their LG webOS 3.0 TV? Cannot find it on the Premium section of the LG webOS Store.

i did it, but the app wont open, due to geolock.. kaya walang kwenta..

to do this you have to get into the service mode of the tv, change country location code, reboot the tv.

but like i said, di gumagana ang amazon vid app dahil naka geolock.

:(

I solved the buffering problem I was encountering.

Using the PLEX app of the TV with the PLEX Media Server results in transcoding being done on the NAS. My NAS was not powerful enough to transcode.

Using the built-in LG Photos & Video app of the TV with the PLEX Media Server results in transcoding/processing being done by the TV.

Before enabling the PLEX Media Server the built-in LG Photos & Video app would only see the NAS and present all the files as if it were all contained in one folder. By connecting to the PLEX Media Server it follows the organization made by PLEX.

I am prioritizing 4K resolution files for movies and 1080p resolution files for TV shows. Hoping showRSS will soon do RSS feeds of 1080p so I do not have to manually keep track of content I want.

The change in file quality also incurred additional cost in the form of buying two 10TB HDD.
