this is a better option, I came from 51-inch and upgraded to 55 last year, isip ko sobrang laki ng 65 sa bahay dahil condo living ... after experiencing 65-inch on a hotel that I stayed in a few months ago, nagsisisi ako di ko pa kinuha yung 65-inch kahit konting dagdag na lang

haha yung 65" C8 OLED ko feeling ko, pwede pa sana ako mag 75"-77" kahit I'm using it sa bedroom na di naman ganun kalaki (Condo).

Bigger is better talaga pagdating sa TV.

Can you cite the 90% reference?

from rtings
Our previous 20 hours per day burn-in test is still running and the OLED TV already has permanent retention. That test is an extreme case, using patterns with a lot of static content

they are doing extreme testing so not really applicable to normal usage.

Very much worth it.
I've previously owned the first generation 1080p LG OLED and for more than 1 year na ginamit ko siya dati, never nag ka burn in.
Basta you know how to take care of our OLED TV, you will be fine.

Kung gagamitin mo sa gaming na madaming static content, then you are better off with LCD (QLED if you have the budget)

Yan yung worry ko, baka yung HUD elements ng game mag burn in sa OLED. Baka QLED nga mas bagay sa gaming.

Been using my C8 OLED for DOTA 2. Wala naman ako experience with Image Retention much more Burn In. Pero I don't game for long hours. Siguro 3hours max then I take a break (turn the tv off or watch a movie).

nag-assume lang ako Sir, kasi from rtings.com, yung QLED is 10/10 yung rating nya na safe sa PERMANENT BURN-IN while OLEDS 1/10 lang so ayun po..

3 hours max gaming  is enough for Oled burn in.

One day you will wonder why there are stains on the screen.

source? I've spoken to OLED owners who game longer than I do. No issues on their sets. One was using a B6 which is 2 years old na and no issues siya sa burn in.

Edit:

Sa RTINGS nga 20hrs/day yung usage nung isa na gaming yung pinapalabas (Call of Duty, I think) pero sa last check ko a couple of months ago, wala naman signs na may burn in.

Really curious where you get the 3hours max  is enough for OLED burn in.

Ill should take pictures of my cousins OLED when I visit him.  Faint gray marks on some areas of his screen due to gaming.

Good Luck.

1 experience out of a million or so OLED tvs. I'll take my chances. hehe

But out of curiosity, which tv model was he using and what games did he play? I don't doubt your cousin's personal experience. Just wondering what caused it for him.

As for Burn in. Sony OLED have this feature na parang screen refresh... Do it daw once a year.  Shown it to me yesterday in Anson's ATC.

Current pricing of  OLED 55" Sony A8F 120k, Panasonic FZ 116K and LG C8 100k....in my not so trained eyes halos same naman pic quality nya...sa badge and aesthetics na Lang nagkatalo.  Sony LG then Panny in terms or  of looks. Ano ang bet nyo?

Im considering OLED too.. but knowing these issues.. i think i'll wait for a few more years..

Medyo madali ako ma irritate pag ganyan may mantsa ang tv kahit nasa bottom part pa.. for sure mayat maya mapapalingon ako dun sa stain

Notorious tlaga 6 series sa ir or bi. Ive seen 3 display panels na b6 dati with severe bi. Big chance that 7 series onwards will be more resilient as per internet reading. If i can get an oled, id def get 1 now knowing what i know thru my own research.

i'd bet for Sony OLED.  due to Android TV and processors used.  maybe the additional premium on Sony is also due to its audio technology

Reviews for Sony Android OLED OS is clunky. Mas smooth gamitin LG webOS per reviews.
