that's a fantastic price for the C8. Better pa than the local version coz it has the Google Assistant. The Local C8 does not have google assistant which sucks big time.

Do you guys know if LG would replace my unit upon multiple repairs? Having a problem with my b6. Not the first time this happened.

if multiple repairs on the same problem, they should repair it.. is your b6 no longer within warranty?

How old is your unit, sir? If still within warranty, then should be ok.

Request for a replacement if 3 or more repairs has been attempted and has not resolved your issue.

OLEDs are the most expensive TVs you can buy in the world. This issue is entirely unacceptable to have.

2nd time this has happened. Panel issues. My warranty expired this March and I'm worried of the next panel issue that may arise again.

Dami na 4K HDR sa Netflix sir. And Apple TV supports Dolby ATmos in Netflix ;)

i really wanted to get that 65C8 but i fear about those IR and worst the burn-in phenomena coz we usually do console gaming mostly weekends more or less 12hrs.

unless you use the oled for cctv monitoring then you should be fine.

i remember buying a panasonic plasma tv exclusively for ps3 use, the plasma didn't develop any real permanent burn-in, yes there were some instances of image retention but they are only temporary. it even outlived the ps3.

we do alot of gaming and no issues so far. bought the 65c8 june/july.
meron din settings to reduce the risk ng burn
pixel refresher
screen shift
logo luminance adjustment
and konting TLC  :)

if that does not calm you down then stick with an led tv tulad ng sony x900f or asa na lang tayo next year for micro led tvs or sammy q8fn/q9fn fald or its updated equivalent

maybe yes if you plan to buy/rent 4k dolby vision movies/tv series sa itunes and use a dns service to watch US netflix or amazon prime. otherwise maganda na netflix app ng c8 at capable na sya ng 4k hdr. real world use ko 80% c8 apps: 20% atv 4k.
madami na rin 4k movies, pero 4k hdr/dolby vision not as much and mostly original content lang sya ng netflix or amazon prime (local prime movies/tv shows sobrang konti - so not worth it)

Coming from a KRP-500 Kuro plasma, I am not wowed by the C8.  The Kuro has more natural colors and is cooler to the eyes.  What’s this soap opera like picture quality on the C8 even in cinema mode?

Trumotion can be toggled on/off for SOE haters.

But IMO, necessary yung trumotion for OLED dahil sa bilis ng response time ng pixels. Without trumotion, sobrang laggy/stutter ng videos lalo sa mga panning/moving shots.

I find that de-judder at 2 is ok to my eyes sa LG C8 ko.

Interesting. I experience seeing the same judder/stutter in videos on my 144Hz gaming monitor with low response times but not on standard 60Hz monitors. I guess that explains why I have to enable "smooth motion" and "overlay" in MPC-HC to mitigate the issue.

This may also be because the refresh rate is not a multiple of your video frame rate. 25, 30, 50 or 60 fps videos would not translate directly to 144 Hz.

For 60 fps video to be displayed on a 144 Hz screen, 36 frames will be displayed twice and 24 frames will be displayed thrice every second. That means the gap between frame changes vary by quite a bit.

will pick up my 65C8 today got it for 165k not bad IMO..but i was more attracted to sony's 65 af8 great sound and the physical design but i was disappointed by its HDMI port as only 2 ports supports full bandwidth 4k/60p. it was a deal breaker for me..and it was more expensive than C8 5K difference.
