Same popping some wiith mine. Not checked by Samsung yet though.
This was an Abenson's special last time. Now there's another Abenson's only model that's a 55-inch 4K HDR model for 42K online.
There's a thread about it, too. Cash for only 38K. Thing is, mine didn't last 5 years. And as per your experience no more parts.

I have not tried to turn it back on boss. When it died there was this smell of burning circuit.

Have this unit also. My mom told me that while they are watching, there is some pop sound na malakas daw then dead na din.

Although not sure if the same as what you guys experienced. Ask ko lang, when you power on the unit, does it do a red blinking instead of a red steady (before you power on) ?

yes sir. Same na same. I have a feeling same issue din sakin - a busted Y sustain board.

My TV is now just boxed - most likely will become a donor unit or will need a donor tv to restore.

Happened to me a couple years ago (hirap mag backread).  Samsung changed the panel and everything is fine and dandy now.

My unit got busted last year wala pang 3 years. Wala na daw stock ng y board. Nag reklamo ako sa samsung hotline na bakit sila nagbebenta ng unit na pag nasira eh di naman pala nila ma repair. Kinuha na lang nila unit and compensated me since wala pa 3 years unit. They explained to me na pasok naman sa 7 years na support something nila. So they pro rated the 4 years supposedly remaining life. Got around 27k compensation from samsung.

Samsung hotline kausap ko. They will get the report na galing sa samsung authorized repair center. Sila nag bring up nung compensation  when I asked them kung ano mga options na pwedeng gawin sa tv.

I just called Samsung hotline and they said that all their TVs have up to 2 years warranty only

I think the 7 years is that they need to be able to provide support sa repairs. Di ko na matandaan masyado explanation nila sa akin about it.

Yup, was really happy when I learned of the amount. Matagal nga lang processing. Inabot ata more than 3 months for the refund.

Wow less than 13K from the original price. That is indeed generous. 

And tama naman, dapat may support span ang TV. Kahit Windows OS, ni announce pa kapag wala na support from MS

(b) Every manufacturer making an express warranty with respect to an electronic or appliance product described in subdivision (h), (i), (j), or (k) of Section 9801 of the Business and Professions Code, with a wholesale price to the retailer of one hundred dollars ($100) or more, shall make available to service and repair facilities sufficient service literature and functional parts to effect the repair of a product for at least seven years after the date a product model or type was manufactured, regardless of whether the seven-year period exceeds the warranty period for the product.

Kaya pala, every TV in the US may Date of Manufacture sa likod.

I really wanted it fixed during that time. I even asked kung sa korea ba mismo wala na mabilhan parts or sa ebay. Siguro nakulitan sa akin kasi sabi ko i really love that tv and malaking paper weight naman yun kung hindi maayos.

Since natuwa naman ako sa kanila, samsung na din ang pinalit ko.

Guys anyone experiencing crazy battery drain of your smart remote that comes with this tv? 3 days lng yung aaa battery, sobrang bilis madrain. Mtagal nato ang ginagamit ko nalang yung keyboard kaso nasira na din yung ibang keys sa tagal.

Call Samsung service.  Was able to get a missing stand screw from them before.
