Andrew Jones Designed 5.1 Channel Speaker Package

Creating your home theater system isn’t always easy. First you have to choose the right speakers. Then you have to decide how many you need. Then someone needs to tell you why the center channel is so important.

Why does creating a home theater system have to be so complicated?

Now, thanks to the Pioneer SP-PK52FS speaker package, the answer is, it doesn’t. We’ve taken the essential components of home theater performance and put them together in one stunningly impressive, affordable package designed to do one thing: deliver uncompromising sound quality to provide a world of entertainment you’ve never experienced before.

This system comes with a remarkable pedigree of over 70 years of Pioneer audio heritage and industry firsts. Like every speaker we build, these are engineered to offer incredible design and amazing sound quality. But then that’s exactly what you’d expect from speakers designed by internationally renowned speaker designer Andrew Jones. As Pioneer’s Chief Speaker Engineer, Andrew has designed some of the world’s finest loudspeakers. Now he has brought his high-end expertise and passion to the creation of this affordable speaker package. And while the price is considerably lower than some of his other efforts, the expectation and delivery of accurate sound reproduction remain the same.

Composed of Andrew Jones Designed re-engineered for 2012 Pioneer® SP-FS52 (two total) floor-standing speakers, SP-BS22-LR (one pair) bookshelf speakers, the SP-C22 center channel speaker and the SW-8MK2 subwoofer, this 5.1 channel surround sound system gives your senses exactly what they want: the means they’ve been looking for to get closer to your favorite chase scenes, explosions and rock bands, and experience them as they were meant to be heard.

Thinking Out Of The Box

It’s okay to stare. With true curved cabinet design, not only are the speakers aesthetically more pleasing, so is the entire listening experience.  The high-performance and exceptional sound quality is the result of this stiffer design, which reduces standing sound waves inside the cabinet.

As you look at them, you’ll also notice our unique speaker grills. They’re beautiful and elegant in their own right, but not for their own sake. They protect the speakers, but are also removable if you prefer to see the drivers themselves.

The Center Of The System

The center channel speaker is perhaps the most important player in your home theater system. It does the heavy lifting by being responsible for the majority of the dialogue and effects. The Pioneer SP-C22 utilizes a 6 Element Sophisticated Crossover. Dialogue is crisper. Car crashes are crunchier. Explosions reach the far corners of the room. It’s one more way of ensuring high-quality and accurate sound reproduction from your favorite movies and events.

Thunderous Bass

Nothing in this price category gives you a deeper appreciation for quality bass than the SW-8MK2 subwoofer from Pioneer. Fire up your favorite movie, then buckle up, sit back and let its powerful amplifier bring you right into the experience with heart stopping, knee-knocking, room-shaking, earth-quaking realism. Its vented enclosure means extended deep, clean, bass performance. Phase and frequency controls allow for customized set-up. High- and low-level inputs mean flexible installation.

Everyone can experience the thrill of sound reproduction so accurate and realistic, it moves you in ways you never thought possible. With the Pioneer SP-PK52FS speaker package as the solution to your home theater dilemma, the only thing you’ll have to worry about is the wear and tear on your couch.

The good: The Pioneer SP-PK52FS breaks new ground for quality sound at a budget price. The 5.1 speaker system is highlighted by two tower speakers in the front, plus a 100-watt, 8-inch powered subwoofer completes the system. And although it's not stylish, the curved wooden cabinets look better than a cheap boxy speaker.
The bad: The speakers are bulkier than many alternatives and the large center channel can be difficult to place. Black wood-grain vinyl is the sole finish option and might not be a good fit for every living room.
The bottom line: If you've got the space for it, the Pioneer SP-PK52FS is simply the best-sounding, budget-price home theater speaker package you can buy.

Mine just came in today.  Manufacturing date - November 2013.  Had it shipped last March 2014, waited for more than 2 months.  Will test run it this weekend.  Hope it lives up to the glowing reviews.......
