Bro, MCS 333:

1. Has Ethernet, so pwede maging networked media player
2. Is a 3D bluray player
3. Has four HDMI inputs

I have not experienced any Cinavia issues whatsoever.

Does it really have Cinavia protection?  I thought only Sony players have that. Anyway, for your peace of mind, bring an external hard drive so that you can test it before purchasing.

Bumili ako ng MCS-333 after receiving my 13th month bonus. Given the fact na ito yung unang Pioneer branded na gamit na binili ko, medyo di ako namangha sa product. Bought at Western appliances in Sta. Lucia East mall for PHP 11,700

PROS:

-Multimedia monster (can play DVDs, Blu-Ray discs, downloaded movies depende sa format at encoding, music files and is DLNA capable). Also it can stream to Youtube.
-Easy to set up, tama sa taong nagbabudget at may di kalakihang bahay or kuwarto. Mahaba ang cable ng surround speakers
-Has 2 USB ports and a Portable IN, plus may optical input and 4 HDMI ins, para sa may game consoles or HD cable boxes, FM radio.

CONS:
-Mahina ang sound output, kahit yung trim levels nakatodo na sa lahat ng speakers. Given the fact this is a Pioneer brand, which is to my knowledge, produces high quality audio devices, this is quite a disappointment for me.
-Yung remote control mahirap pindutin, tapos yung plastic body niya medyo loose, na parang matatangal yung back part ng remote.
-Sometimes it is slow while browsing YT and some input lags.

And may problem ako dun sa front speakers and surround speakers niya, at some volume levels, or sa ibang sounds may tendency na mag distort yung tunog, yung biglang uugong. This bothers me a lot since this is my first time buying an HTIB and dito ko nagastos yung 13th month ko. This happened after hanging the front speakers on a solid wall while the surround speakers on an L-shaped plywood na sinadya namin para maikabit sa kisame. Any possible solutions and suggestions are welcome.

Out of 5 stars, I'll give this one a 3 star.

Prior to hanging the front speakers walang distortion?

Mahina nga ang sound output (compared to my old Samsung HT-Z220) pagdating sa MKVs, almost always naka 90% full ang volume.

However, when it comes to game consoles (PS3 and PS4) ang lakas and ang ganda ng tunog. Nasa 14 (out of 40) lang sa volume dial and sobrang lakas na.

Yes, walang distortion bago isinabit yung mga speakers, yung distortion nangyayari kapag medyo malakas na yung volume at may mga parts na malakas yung sound frequency (e.g. may bibirit na singer, rock music, medyo random)

Unfortunately the subwoofer starts to show signs of its weakness. kapag mataas yung trim levels at nakabass boost habang nagpapatugtog ng bassy music, may kung anung ingay na di ko mawari ( I suspect it is on the design of the subwoofer, given the fact HTIBs have limited sound output power compared to separates)

So far I have done these workarounds...

• Naglagay ng tela sa likod ng satellite speakers, kasi napansin ko na vibration ng case yung dahilan if im not mistaken, pag gumagana yung speaker and it vibrates the whole speaker case, this causes the sound distortion unlike nung nakapatong sila less tendency to distort since may sasalo nung vibration. (theory ko lang), so far the distortion lessened yet it is still present.

• Adjusted trim levels of each satellite and experimented with the sound settings. My current settings are as follow...

   ♦ Bass Boost on
♦ Trim levels down to 0 on four satellite speakers and +2 on center, 0 din sa subwoofer
   ♦ Equalizer set to Movie
♦ Surround set to 5 speaker mode.

Kakatapos ko lang mag soundtrip at manood ng The Expendables 3, at volume 25 tama na yung sound output.

Pasensya na sa haba bossing. Will update the thread should any further issues arise.

Medjo mahina tlaga ang mga HTiBs pagdating sa volume. Unless na mga big size HTiBs (they still call it HTiB pero mag BS speakers na ang kasama) ang kunin mo. Try to lower your expectations for a P12,000 system para hindi ka ma-dissapoint. Hehe! Ang 3D BD player nasa P3-4k na ata. So what's left sa cost would be for the speakers and amplification.

+2 sa center speakers? Hehehe!

Sa daldalan ang hina pero sa explosions magugulat ka na lang no? But I think issue yan sa lahat ng setup. It was even discussed in HD Nation as a common problem.

Lesson learned sir, mahirap talaga ang mag-expect! Based on several life experiences, masakit din talaga haha! Pero yung naging selling point niya para sa akin is yung multimedia capabilities niya, and yung pagiging small factor niya, tamang tama sa hindi kalakihang bahay o sala.

Napapaisip ako kung pwede i-mod yung speakers niya (e.g attaching a 4-ohm speaker or something) Na realize ko rin na hindi totoo yung 1000w something niya, power advertising lang pala! :D

Di ko din sure if that's a problem or a standard sa mga recording ng movies. Talagang dapat malakas ang mga action scenes intentionally para magulat ka and better immersion.

Mga easy to drive speakers baka may improvement pero it's easier talaga to change system. Masmadami ka kasing choices ng speakers kapag naka receiver ka na compared to HTiB.

Nagresearch po ako dito sa forum karamihan ng users naka separates na high-end at yung may kamahalan na systems. Maybe I will reconsider upgrading in the future if the budget will allow me. Salamat sa mga feedback. Gusto ko talaga malaman ang true-rate ng amplifier nito, once found, I'll try tweaking it first then saka ko na pagiisipan yung upgrade.

Sir, suggestion lang, tweaking your HTiB would be fun. Pero there are plenty of receivers out there that would not cost you an arm and a leg. Yun mga entry level Pioneers mura na for a bnew receiver. Lalo na yun mga nagbebenta ng mga pre-owned. Mga ka-price sila ng HTiB mo. Then slowly build your system.

Salamat po sa suggestion, currently sinusubukan ko yung iba-ibang settings para masukat ko kung hanggang saan at kung anu yung kaya ng system ko. As for the separates route, maybe in the future, once the budget allows me, and the space.

Out of the box, pangit talaga tunog. Once I tried the different sound settings, okay na. May mga firmware update rin. I just updated two days ago.

Meron mga preset equalizer settings lang: Off, News, Movie, Gaming, etc. I just choose from those.

No WiFi pero may ethernet port. I connect it to a Linksys Wireless Media Connector.

Speaking of slowly building the system, out of the topic po, gusto kong upgrade sometime yung mga slim AV receivers, ang habol ko lang naman is decent sound quality, space and budget. Ika nga my ears will decide. For now I am satisfied with my MCS-333

UPDATE: Currently using Extra Power Mode and +3 on Fronts, +5 on surrounds, +4 on Center and +6 sa sub with Bass Boost on, EQ off. Sinubukan ko sa concert DVD ni Avril Lavigne mas natural yung tunog ng instruments, maganda yung kalansing at wala na akong naririnig na distortion tulad ng dati, hindi man hataw yung bass and low frequency yet the output was satisfactory. Mas maganda ipang benchmark or pang calibrate yung mga 5.1 surround DVDs or BDs original copies. Tumalab somehow yung paglalagay ng tela sa likod at medyo niluwagan ko yung pagkapasok ng turnilyo.

I have changed my mind, 4 out of 5 rating. :) Wala lang siyang HDMI ARC capability.

Haha!

Same experience kami ni Dashwater. Nung simula, no-shock ko sa pangit ng tunog. Pero nun kinalikot ko na, umayos na. I don't know if the speakers needed a break in or settings issue lang talaga, pero hindi ko na mabalik dun sa pangit na tunog.
