APPJ Single Ended Triode Mini Tube amp (rebadged MiniWatt)

APPJ Mini Tube amp: Actually this is the company that made the famous MiniWatt tube amp (rine-badge lang ng MiniWatt under their name, article can be found at http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/synergy2/amp.html). It utilizes 2 x EL84 and 1 x 12AX7 as its power/driver tubes, and can accept 8, 6 or 4 ohms speakers.

This Single Ended Triode amp is small but terrible! Don't get fooled by its small size and 3.5watts per channel rating, this amp drives my 8" Royal Coppenhagen Full Range full towers with finesse and liveliness.

Best paired with satellite/desktop monitors or sensitive speakers with 90db-above (such as Audio Nirvana, Markaudio or full range drivers).

Agree ako dyan, para maganda Pasko mo at hahaba pa buhay mo bilhin mo na yan...,madali kausap si RXV (meet-up na sa McDo Quezon avenue yan hehehe.)

had a listening session with sir RXV and tried this with my Audio Nirvana and his royal copenhagen and it really sound sweet! Hindi mag sisisi makaka bili! Up for this small but wonderful sweet sounding amp and up for the seller! Thanks also for the listening session bro

I bought a silver unit and it now happily sings with a pair of n.o.s. Coral 10 inches full range in open baffle set-up augmented with twin active servo subs... hearing the reflected and delayed backwave sound has a very nice psychoacoustic effect...

enjoy ako sa ganitong set up , di na kelangan masyado malaking watts sa amplifier kung mataas naman sensitivity ng speakers....malakas na din..... thanks RXV for the miniwatt N3 aka APPJ..... highly recommended!

if ever na may available kang tube pre amp try mo lang lagyan yang AAPJ sir! Na try namin ni sir RXV sa bahay nung nag jamming kami and parehas kami speechless sa laki ng improvement nya...kaka gulat

Sir, medyo subjective kasi ang question, for me it depends on the listener's taste/preference e.

For me, I'm currently connecting it to a PC via DAC then to the AAPJ tube amp, powering an 8" fullrange speaker set. I've also tried it on Audio Nirvana Super 8 and had great sound coming out of it (with surprising bass output). Gusto ko rin i-try with Markaudio fullrange next time

For me, a speaker with 90+ sensitivity will truly sing with these mini amps.

If you're into smooth jazz, vocals, instrumentals, classical music, this is the way to go (for hours of critical listening).
If you're more into rap, rock and heavy pounding bass, I'd advice you to look elsewhere

Actually ang ganda tono ng guitar and strings, it's more of the heavy bass that lacking. Of course, I can't expect a fullrange to do a subwoofer's job
