The 2 way plan with a simple crossover for the recently released MA 7P + 12PW is out! Other plans will be available soon accdg to planet10. This is a project I definitely see in my horizon  8)

Mukhang yummy two-way ito! How much kaya abutin ang total parts cost?

Just as I thought it would be, the mid-high is sealed and isolated from the other driver.

Gawin na yan!  ;D

It's a 1 meter 18mm mdf plank. Hindi mo tatamaan ang resonating frequency niyan with those drivers.

Yummy nga sir, ganda ng spacing ng drivers, magkalapit so no comb filtering on this. Estimated cost ng drivers at acquisition is $500 for all 4.  ;)

Mukhang yummy two-way ito! How much kaya abutin ang total parts cost?

Sirs, as stated sa "Notes" at the lower right hand side of the plan pic - "bracing is optional, do account for bracing volume if used"

Sa mga designs ni Scott Lindgren madalas bracing is optional, if you will do it he recommends a "holey" brace. something like the one below:

If I were planning a build right now I will definitely go for this, kaso I'm still happy with my A10Ps kaya sa horizon muna sya  ;D. Sa description ni Mark abt the 12PW dito kami interesado ni sir Joey (see highlighted text in red below):

"Please remember the 12PW remains a light-duty driver. Those into "head-banging", "continuous rock-un roll" or intent on ear drum damage, the 12PW is NOT the driver for you. If however, you want to go low and get a serious audiophile quality sound where you can easily tell the audible difference between a double-bass and a bass-guitar when both instruments are oscillating at <40 cycles, this IS the driver for you."

Just as I thought it would be, the mid-high is sealed and isolated from the other driver.

Gawin na yan!  ;D

Gawin na yan!

Not bad for $500. Marami nang tatalunin sa SQ yan sa ganyang price.  Landed cost na ba yan?

I myself am building a simple digital source setup with my other laptop kaya no speaker project for me muna. But this is certainly an excellent candidate when the time comes.

Those description are spot on if not conservative, I've had the pleasure of taking with Mark and with his tech know-how and low-down personality I'm sure the units can go beyond his descriptions pa.

Sino kaya ang mag go nito? >:D

Pwede kaya ibang drivers.... Using this box dimension?

X-over will be made based on drivers specs.

Agreed, MA drivers are over-performers based on my experience...may kilala akong may balak ng bagong build, taga-Sta. Rosa din  >:D

Pwede but it's not going to be an optimal design for the drivers you will use. If it's that easy to swap drivers using a single enclosure e di sana masaya na ang lahat  :D

This plan is specifically designed & tuned for the MA 7P & 12PW using the T/S parameters supplied by the manufacturer. You have to look for drivers with very close specs to the MA's mentioned to utilize the box design, yung 7P you might find a Fostex alternative but I doubt kung meron for 12PW. And no amount of stuffing can compensate for the mismatch.

Pwede kaya ibang drivers.... Using this box dimension?

X-over will be made based on drivers specs.

Mark @ Meniscus Audio set up a blind test for variety of full range drivers. Audience members narrowed down the bunch to the Dayton RS100 and the Mark Audio Alpair 7. Mark Audio won the shootout."

Video showing the competing drivers here:

The Alpair 7.3 emerged as the favorite going up against drivers from Tang Band, Fostex, Dayton Audio, Fountek, etc.  8)
