I have vintage SEAS tweeter in my DIY OB. Same model used by popular speaker manufacturers. Will remain preferred brand over other names.

amazing speakers.  used it on my car before.  sounds very transparent and dry.  however, i find the sound clinical after 1 year..., or maybe, nagsawa lang sa tunog.  hehehe.

I think Mickey brings home audio seas drivers here.  Those large format prestige speakers are hard to beat for their price.

Thanks

Paeng

Proac user here, its a combination of Scan Speak and Seas drivers. I agree they sound very clinical and sharp with the wrong electronics, with lush tube amplifiers they sound like heaven...

Bang & Olufsen also used seas drivers... I'm not sure they still do in their new models.

i have a xavian altea, all seas prestige drivers.  onced paired with a rotel and sounded really analytical with all the bells and whistles of a good imaging and soundstage but the sound is quite dry and frankly, quite experience ear-fatigue on prolonged listening.  Similar qualities in my car when i paired seas lotus with zapco amps.  BTW, seas mids are know to be dry but very very transparent.  The tweeters are similarly uncolored and very neutral sounding.

Currently, i paired my floorstand with creek amp to give a bit of warm, lush tone.  so far, so good for a budget combo.  i got the thick delicate warm midrange that i wanted and added "weight" on the low frequencies.

next stop is to try some tubey
