« on: Feb 03, 2014 at 12:14 PM »
Hi,

In terms of music listening and/or audio only, does the spec indicated on the subject a factor to find out which has better sound quality?

TIA.

As for me, no difference between the 2.
DALI OPTICON 8 : Zensor : Polk Audio F/XiA4 : ONKYO 5010 : OPPO BDP-103 : Panny AE8000 : Dual PB1000

CDDA data is 16-bit 44.1kHz LPCM; most DACs out there can handle this bitstream. The maximum sampling rate capability of a DAC chip does not dictate the component's performance.

^ Browsing the net looks like there are other factor, even the sturdiness of the Chassis of dedicated CD Players compared to normal DVD/BDP players.

San/Sino distributor ng OPPO dito sa pinas? Yan(yang OPPO) pa isa nakita ko sa internet na may laban daw vs. dedicated CDPs. ;D

No distributor here sir.  Got mine from direct from Oppo.  You can also buy direct from Amazon.

In my experience, better sounding ang original DVD-A to the 96/24 Flac version (ripped from DVD-A) when played both in my OPPO BDP-103.

There is difference depending on what kind of music you are listening. The first one is DVD-A and the other is Red Book CD Playback it is really 94 or 96?

Correct Bro..Eto naka babad OPPO 105, must say napaka ganda...tried replacing power cords and balance interconnects ... iba iba ng characteristics..ended up with Transparent Audio...pwedeng I tapat sa mga dedicated CD player worth $5-25k...although musical may pagka analitical, best pag hybrid setup para lumambing ng husto... I am convinced about this...
My first impression kala ko tatalunin DCS Puccini kinabahan tuloy ako hehehe pero nung nag settle malayo na..but for the price..hindi ko ipag papalit OPPO 105...must try Bro, but with the right/matching interconnects and power cords...

I agree with you. Madaming hi res capable ngayon, some very cheap, some are averagely priced pero hindi lahat papasok sa preference ng listener. Pero madaming CDPs na redbook standard, no upscaling pero sounds really really good.

1. True Colors - Voices VII
2. Vincent - Voices VII
3. 400 Lux - Lorde
4. White Teeth Teens

mas makapal tunog and I guess mas detailed. :)
