Instead of hijacking the Recommend Speaker thread every few weeks, I thought I'd just start a new topic.

My set-up is in a 20sqm room, but the listening area is actually only about 10 sqm:

Denon 1713
Mission M73 (fronts)
Mission M7C1 (center)
Mission M70 (rear)
Velo CHT 10 (sub)

I can't change my receiver because I just purchased it

But I want to upgrade my front/center speakers, and so far, here are my choices -

Option 1 - Dali Zensor 5 (fronts) + Vokal (center);
Option 2 - Polk Rti A3 (fronts) + Csi A6 (center);
Option 3 - B&W 685 (fronts) + matching center; or
Option 4 - PSB Image B6 + matching center.

Of the 4 options, only the Zensor is a floorstander. I don't mind getting a bookshelf speaker, basta maganda, since I have a sub anyway.

It will be used 80% HT + 20% music.

Budget: 40K, a tad more or less

Thoughts? Other suggestions?

I vote for PSB.... But i was able to own the Polks RTIs and i like the PSB better...

I'd cross out option 3 for now. May bagong 600 series na lalabas you'd wanna wait for that muna. Medyo malaki daw yung chagnes compared sa current 600 series.

Being a PSB owner too, I'd vote of course for PSB. 2nd would be the DALI's.

If you don't mind buying pre owned, I heard the PSB T55 and IMO it's a good buy . . .

@Courage @esr101, I'll be sure to audition the PSBs soon, if not today.

@armymanhaha, I don't think my EQ can stand to wait for the new B&Ws

I heard the 685s over at Sound Dimension (at their new Glorietta 2 location) yesterday, and I was pleasantly surprised by the sound. My concern about getting bookshelves instead of floorstanders was assuaged. Btw, very helpful folks there, who accommodated me.

@czarsky, thanks. I'll check it out.

I initially included the Dali Lektor 3 in my list of choices, but had to delete it as it isn't available in AA and I don't think new stocks are forthcoming. The Zensors are definitely arriving though, this April.

^budget is 40K, more or less, for both fronts and center. willing to go a bit over, but not by much. the options I posted will actually cost me anywhere between 35-45K, depending on the discount I get.

All are good speakers, pick the one that suits your subjective preference.

Heard both the Polk audio Rti A3 and the Psb Image B6 today, at Watts Hi Fi.

This, after listening to B&W 685 yesterday, and the Zensor 7 a few days back.

I think we have a winner.

Kung merong bigger series pero same model na center speaker, i'd get that. Karamihan ng audio, some say as much as 60-80%, sa center speaker lumalabas.

Meron surrounds ang image line kaso mahal, but you can use the smaller B5 or B4

tama master Nelson..Ur putting her/them into right decision. have rti-a3 series with Csi-a4 center pero im using big infinity c360 center..mas emphasize ang action sa movie pag bigger center. promise! sabi nga "mas malaki, mas masarap!!!"

I'm getting the C5 which is bigger than the other model, the C4.

I actually realized this when I got my Mission speakers a few years back. Should've gotten the M7C2 instead of the M7C1.

3.1 muna then ipon for surrounds.. hehehe.. I prefer kasi yung bipole/dipole for surrounds e.. Mga how much ba complete set-up for PSB?

Just visit/call/PM them, and other stores selling PSB, to find out how much discounts they give. It's different for every store and, I think, every person who visits (first timer, suki, maraming bibilhin, konti lang etc)

look for wharf 10dfs or 9dfs...

its not psb but it will suit you well for surround functionality.

daming nakaganyan dito hehe... pero best parin kung kaya mo ang psb para same lahat..

hehe.. or 3.1 muna..until makaipon..pero sobrang expensive talaga..kapresyo halos ng floorstanders..haha
