LG lcdtv fading to black ,, help.

i have a LG 32inches lcd tv.. and it fades to black screen after only 5 minutes of use..

should i have it repaired or should i throw it away?
it think its already 4 or 5 years old. is that normal?
my other LG LCDTV. a much older one is still alive and fully functional.
