Bit late for new year greetings, so advance Gong Xi Fa Cai mga brod!!

I've been busy with work and family in recent months so not much audio activity except getting LPs every now and then.

Anyway, updated my system with some room treatment from GIK Acoustics.

Toured North and SoCal in November. In between visiting family and theme parks, squeezed in few stops for vinyl.

I think this one, located in downtown LA, is the largest independent record store in the world. It was massive.

Gusto ko ngang pasyalan yang Amoeba at dami palang albums diyan during our last visit to LA. Sayang si mrs kasi busy dun sa kakahahanap ng stars sa Hollywood walk of fame at sa wax museum sa opposite street.
Dun ako nakabili sa mga shops malapit sa Sta Monica beach - ok din naman mura lang.
Bro subukan mo yung ECMs records  ni Tord Gustavsen, Maryln Crispel, Marcin Wasilewski at Tomasz Stanko baka type mo.
Going to Manila next week, bisita ng relatives.
Pending sale na yung HarbethM30 ko sa CAM. Subukan ko namang mag floor standers. Nagaabang na :)

Mahirap talaga sumingit pag kasama family sa trip hehe. Ang style ko sunod sunuran ako kay misis sa kung ano ang pupuntahan, then towards end of day tsaka ko sasabihin na may dadaanan kami. Alam na niya yun at hindi na sya makahindi :)

We went to Amoeba after spending the entire day at Universal. I also went to Atomic Records in Burbank. Nice little vinyl shop where I got mint Bobby Enriquez LPs for $3 each. I listen to a lot of ECMs. Always good recordings. Magagaling yung artists na namention mo. Try mo rin  Enrico Rava, Arild Andersen, Terje Rypdal, etc.

Nakita ko nga pending sale na M30, Congratulations sir Audie! Baka type mo yung Proac towers. Ganda yun!

Off from work today so I planned an "audio" day after more than a year. The wife was at work and kids were in school, perfect opportunity na gumala mag-isa.

Dito ako napadpad…





Went to my "suki" dealer to pick up the new RCM as my Nitty Gritty has broken down. Was also looking forward to hearing the Acapellas which replaced JM Lab towers.


I was impressed by the sound of these German horns. Sonics were much better than Avant Garde duos and trios I listened to before. They were being powered by Burmester amp hooked up to a Burmester digital source and Clearaudio TT. Phono was a Thoress.

The Acapellas provides outstanding music and SQ. Very entertaining!

Okay na sana yung visit. I got the RCM, some cleaning supplies and new ICs and all set to leave the showroom. Kaso bago ko umalis, biglang merong very appealing offer for a special VPI Prime bundle.

Hindi tuloy ako makatulog ngayon...
