Author Topic: LG, Samsung, or Sharp? (Read 2495 times)

I'm in search for a 75 inch TV which I can put in my new AV room. Coming from a Panasonic, I won't have second thoughts purchasing the same brand if only it was still available in the market. Now, my only choices are LG, Samsung, and Sharp. Samsung, many many bad reviews. LG not as many bad reviews probably because not too many users. Sharp, only a handful of users to give accurate reviews.

What would you choose?

Sir, suggestion 1. Panasonic 2. Sony 3. LG

I did not include Samsung based from what I have experienced both in my Samsung Aircon and now with Samsung LED TV.

Samsung's design and manufacturing are flawed. Mukhang malaki ang quality and realibility issue nila sa LED TV's nila. Hindi nila ma detect mga field faults na lumalabas at customer end

I have other LED TVs Panasonic and LG halos mag 5 years na working parin. Yung case ko this is my 1st time to buy Samsung TV and will be my last. I'll never buy Samsung hindi siya durable. Just my 2 cents.

+1 sa panasonic, 6 years na yung first lcd tv ko bought from theaterworks. gamit ko pa rin ngayon dito sa shop
yung sony led tv ko naman mag 3 years na ok pa rin
bought another sony led tv 60" para sa condo
both sony and lg two years ang warranty
not sure about the other brands
natry ko na rin pala magclaim ng warranty sa sony, napalitan agad yung tv ko within 1 week

For me +1 LG, I have both LCD(5 yrs) & Plasma(4 yrs) still performing well as of now. For Sharp no comment( i don't have one). Samsung, my bro-in-law have both LCD(7 yrs) & Plasma(4yrs with 3 horizontal lines

Thanks guys. Ako din Panasonic preference ko kaso when it comes to big tv's, 70 inches up, LG, Samsung and Sharp lang ata meron. Dami nga reliability issues ang samsung. Umiiwas din ako dun. After LG i might consider Sharp.

since there are very few options... i would recommend getting SONY... one of the better / more reliable units in the market compared to samsung and LG.

Not a 75 incher, but I have a Sharp 52". LC52-LE830 yata ang model. Two years with me and has served me well so far. Had it shipped pa from Singapore. One thing about Sharp is that the UX is way behind compared to LG and Samsung...if you're particular about that. PQ naman wala akong reklamo.

Have a Sharp before. 40LE820 Quattron. PQ is outstanding imo. Too bad I sold mine as it wasn't being used and I prefer a bigger TV.

I use to own the three brands Lg led , sharp led , samsung plasma and led . so far havent encountered any problems with the three brands . i prefer samsung for pq quality .

User experience. The way the menus are designed and their implementation of smart TV features leaves a lot to be desired, compared to the equivalent model LG or Samsung.

Have owned Panasonic, LG, Samsung, Philips and Sony. Panasonic plasma is very good especially after acquiring Pioneer Kuro technology. LG and Philips, very reliable and high quality assurance in my experience. Samsung and Sony, reliability issues. Sharp no experience having one.

Among your choices, for me LG is tops. Outside your choices, Philips but only those made in Europe.

I would recommend taking a look at a Sony TV W90 series. Got one the other night, and I'm very pleased with the picture quality. Excellent input lag as well for gaming.
