AlvinTHX of Pdvd is a long time user of Elac. His set is powered by kilowatts....yes that's right...kilowatts of Classe amplifier power.  If I'm not mistaken he got it from a local store that imported the speakers for him.

Hi to All,

Info on Elac Brand. My German friend was the original importer of Elac , Avid, Cyrus and some other French brands into the country. At the onset, problems arose when his son made a deal with a local guy for the marketing of these brands. They were dupped by this person and never got most of their money back. I know that the top of the line speakers like the Fx609's were sold to an English diplomat living at Forbes. For a short time, their products were sold via the store at the top floor of Rustan's. I know of no other importer of Elac as of the moment.

so there are no more plans of bringing in the Elac brand anymore?
