Just use any Samsung TV remote.

Yan ang maganda sa Samsung. Hindi papalit-palit ng remote codes. Lumang remote, pareho rin ang remote codes, gagana rin sa new Sammy TV.

yes it's true, i was surprised that my tiny series 5 led(F series) Remote wud work on my F8500.

finally decided to pull the trigger on the f8500 this evening. it was a display unit. had no choice. searched all ansons in the metro but can't find a sealed unit. thought that at 66k including the freebies it was still a bargain.

it was near closing time. so i let the sales guys put it in the box while i pay at the cashier. only checked if the box of accessories was there.

was so excited to set it up upon reaching the house...
then realized that the box didn't contain the "risers" to let you attach the stand to the tv.

grrr!!!
going back to ansons makati first thing tomorrow morning. there will be blood if they tell me that these "risers" are not with them.

Buy the last great plasma TV while you still can
Samsung's PNF8500, the last great plasma TV, is now cheaper than ever.
If you're shopping in the high end of the TV market and care about picture
quality, buying one now is extremely appealing despite the advent of 4K.

my old unit was an lg plasma. and the difference is night and day. i can only watch the lg plasma at night. i can watch the samsung f8500 day and night

that's awesome! I can only watch my Samsung 51F5000 during the day while in Sports mode (high brightness).

I've been using my 51f8500 since i bought it last March 2014, as of now still great to watch HD movies and HD channels on Cignal.

sa H5000 may nabasa ako na pwedeng palabasin ang Day and Night separate calibrations pero dadaan muna sa service menu.

Is it worth having two sets of calibrations for daytime and nightime viewing as per your experiences sa F8500?

Hi update ko lang kayo after asking opinions of my friends i will not return my 64f8500 at ansons because of faint horizontal line. Wala na talaga makuha na unit na brandnew , yung curved uhd na inoffer sa akin step down na sa pq pati features step down din walang 3d, what i did is i asked ansons to negotiate with samsung to extend the warranty ng 64f8500 ko ng additional 1 year . Bumili ako ng ordinary rca remote from true value and i checked that the mrt is only 22hours i guess brand new unit naman yung sa akin since hindi ko na test yung mrt before ko na purchase since yung default remote na included is not capable of doing the mute 7-3-7 enter.

I support your decision.

The faint horizontal line appears on many US units also. Even then, it's so faint that it's not such a big deal.

It's still a great TV --- the last of its kind.

Mahirap nang makahanap nang brandnew sir nang 51f8500...
Try looking for 51H5000 sa Abensons and Avant Appliance Stores, its better than h4900

Wala na akong makita na plasma puro display na lang ang unit. Mukhang projector ang bagsak ko nito. Pero I have limited space. Hehehe baka next year na lang ako mag set up itabi ko na lang 13th mon. Basa Basa muna dito2 sa thread.

Oo nga sir eh. Kaya hindi ko na binalik. Wag lang ako manunoud ng sky scenes kung hindi kita talaga. I've been thinking next year ko na lang ipapagawa.

Nakakakuha ng voice sounds yung microphone ng TV.

Most likely yung dialog ng TV program na pinapanood mo, naririnig ng TV mike, akala ng TV ikaw ang nagsasalita.

Just disable the function.

Parang car window tint yan, plastic film on the front glass. Yung machine rollers ang gumawa ng line, during the automated application of the filter.

Pumunta kanina yung taga sincere electronics na nag service ng samsung tv ko pina factory reset ko yung tv using yung codes nila may nabasa ako na failure sa mga options nakita mo ba sir to ? Ive been asking yung technician pero hindi ako sinagot. I updated my firmware to 1118 kasi yung 1117 pansin ko palagi yung sudden fluctuation ng black level na parang brightness pops na na lessen sa latest update.

ang difference sa 64f8500 ko is na lessen yung sudden fluctuation ng blacks on dark scenes. I already updated to 1118 yun lang ang napansin ko na difference.

Hindi ko matandaan eh kasi pina factory reset ko yung tv sa technician so nag access sya sa service menu tapos may nakita ako on the right side na failure so tinanong ko kung ano yun hindi naman nag explain sa akin baka namali siya ng pindot sa mga codes. So i suggest yung mga nagpapaayos sa service center ng samsung dapat ivideo yung ginagawa nya sa tv para kung magkaproblema eh may evidence kayo na ipapakita. so far wala nman weird na nangyari sa tv dahil dun. Nag update ka na ba sir ng 1118 na firmware?
