BenQ W1070 vs. Acer H6510BD vs. Epson TW5200

Sorry am a noob with projectors. will be placed in the semi-basement so it's a dark room. Distance from the wall is around 10-12 feet and will probably ceiling-mounted & centrally placed. Screen will be manual. What's my best option PJ for both 2D and 3D? and what screen will be the best pair?

So far from what I read in other sites that they prefer the BenQ over the epson due to better PQ. Not sure naman about benQ vs acer.

I have used both BenQ and Acer models, BenQ W1070 is slightly better in 2D PQ than the Acer H6510, as with 3D PQ the Acer doesnt even come close. Im currently using the BenQ W1070. Also read AVSforum for the user feedbacks.

I have the 5200 and the 3D is superb. here's a review from PJ central about sub 1000 pjs

I've also read from forums that for the BenQ 1070 there were firmware issues and that the unit had to be physically present for it to be updated. so that might be a concern for us since we do not have a local BenQ support here.

I think the local BenQ distributor is astech pengson, but havent inquired yet where their stores are.
SO far the benq and epson are top choices

Go for Epson TW5200.

get the Acer if ambient lighting is a concern. (the H6510BD is a light cannon!

I haven't seen the others but so far My Acer plus darbee video processor = jvc high end hehe...joke lang...so far very happy with my acer/darbee combo.

I bought this Acer H6510BD sa Villman with free 3D glases. Super solved talaga ang mga mata ko. Compared to ordinary office type projector super linaw ng Native 1080p then sama mo pa yung pwede mag 3D I tried on my PS4.

Medyo mahal nga talaga pero bibili ka na lang din naman isagad mo na.

Ang linaw nya we trier playing NBA 2K14 sa sala namin at bukas ang ilaw 100watt bulb kitang kita pa din naka eco mode pa ako.

Yung Benq sana bibilin ko na kaso wala naman stock nun at walang free 3D glasses. Buti na lang may dalawang stock pa si Villman sa North Edsa

Imo you can't expect a lot of features for these PJ's even the Epson does not have lens shift. suggestion is to mount the pj first before the screen.

wala syang lenshift so keystone mo na lang adjust kung hindi sensitive eyes mo sa effects nun.

Optoma has great reviews. a reason why ang bilis maubusan ng stocks. That was my 1st choice but due to availability ended up with Epson. And most if not all Optoma are DLP so sila dapat i compare sa Benq while Epson's are LCD
