Topic: Rear Surround Speaker Question

Mga sir! question lang po!

I have an existing 5.1 setup and my rear is a pair of BS speakers. we move in to our new house and now the rear BS ay hindi na pupwede sa setup ng bahay. I have to mount the rear speakers in the wall now and my BS will be too big and hindi na babagay sa wall.

Now I am looking at Wharfe's 10 DFS and Polk's RM7 Satelite. the dfs retails at 5.5k and rm7 at 4k.

which one is better mga sir? my requirement is size na din kasi kaya medyo RM7 ako pero hindi ko pa sya naririnig. yung DFS narinig ko nalalakihan nga lang ako at 11".

Or meron pa po ba kayong marerecommend the other satelite speakers for rear at 5k below price range?

May 9DFS ako dati, tunog ngo ngo / lata.  Baka you are better off with a smaller bookshelf which you can wall mount.

A lot of members that I know, including myself have used Wharf DFS surround speakers and they are superb. I would highly recommend the DFS.

Under research pa kami sir sa Atmos. Pero sa Singapore may na design na ako. May atmos kasi na surround na pwede ipalit sa existing surround speaker para maging 180 degrees ang likod ,including near ceiling effect. Common atmos kasi using addition amplifier like ginamit ng Mga Singaporean sa computer simulation 4D effect.

If you still find the DFS large, you may want to use the 10 SR, although I have never tried to use it as rear surrounds, I've only used it as front wides so im not sure how it will perform for your set up.  Pero theoretically, it should work. The sound of the speaker itself is the same as the DFS.

9 dfs.. pa din gamit ko..feeded by beefier amp and it sounds good.

Dagdag ka ng 4 speakers plus power for the 4 speakers. If your receiver is not Atmos capable, then palit receiver. Kapag naglabas na ng equivalent si DTS, palit receiver ulit. Hehe!

yeah! i did asked mr google last night and found a lot of interesting reads. and my current gears are not appropriate for atmost more moolah needed and moolah is limited.


soo... i am sold with 10 DFS. will start looking for a used one .
