Bookshelf Speaker Recommendations
« on: Nov 14, 2014 at 12:08 AM »
Hi guys,

I'm currently looking at building another audio setup for a new place that I will be moving into–a relatively small flat around 50sqm.

In any case, I'm looking for well balanced set of bookshelf speakers which can produce crisp and clear vocals primarily as I generally listen to soul, jazz, and a little bit of slow rock and orchestra.

My source will be a turntable while I look at driving the speakers with a KT88-tubed amplifier.

Budget can be stretched from $500 to $800.

Thanks!

Jurgen

that's $500-$800 for a pair right? I'd recommend a GoldenEar Aon 2 or Martin Logan Motion 15 then.  :)

Thank you for the recommendations. Haven't auditioned these two yet but would you be able to explain their characteristics?

Top of mind I was also thinking of Dynaudio Excites and PSB Imagines.

Thanks!
