Need advise on which speaker to buy
« on: Nov 26, 2014 at 08:09 AM »
Good day experts, I just need an advise on which speaker upgrade to buy on my small living room area. I will be using it on a 50/50 HT/Music setup. Budget is 85k

Current setup is:

FR/FL: Wharfedale Crystal 3 30.5
Center: Wharfedale Crystal 3 C
Surround: Wharfedale WH2
Sub: Pilyo's legendary 12"JBL with his amp4v2  ;)

HT speakers: Mirage MX 5.1 omnisats with MM6 subwoofer.

AVRs: Marantz NR1403 and Wharfedale 5110 (Same spec as Pioneer 521)

Room size: 9'x12' with open staircase to 2nd floor.

Choices of speaker setup:
     1. Goldenear supersat 50 L/R and supersat 50c
     2. Goldenear Triton 7..no center :) out of budget
     3. Goldenear Aon2 L/R and supersat 50c
     4. DefTech XTR-50 LRC
     5. Open for advise.....hehehe

My first priority is number 1 due to limited space to put my additional speaker. I can just hang it on the wall and because it is just 4 3/4 wide it is just perfect for my narrow front setup of only 9' wall to wall.

Second choice would be the Triton 7 although it's a little bit congested on front with my wharfedale. On this setup, it will only leave an inch from the side of the other speaker in order to maximize the distance from the sidewall.

I need your opinion with this setup.. By the way I can't remove my wharfedale on front because it will be used as karaoke speaker. ;)

For the room size, #1 is the better option and also space saving.

#1 Sir would you think is also better on Music listening paired with a decent sub? I was thinking that #2 is on par when it comes to music..but the space pull me away from it.

#2 will be better on music. Try to audition them at avshop so you can hear the difference.

What if i pair the supersats with SVS SB2000? will it sound better than the Triton 7? Since I have to buy a sub anyways for HT setup.
