Topic: 4K 65" LED Choice: LG 79UB980T vs SAMSUNG Curve UA-65HU7200RXXP /65HU8700RXX ***

Hi!

I got my wifey's blessings to explore and get one of the following 65" 4K panels, and the choices are:

1. LG 65UB980TAPH (comes with Harmon side bar speakers)
2. Samsung Curve UA-65HU7200RXXP
3. Samsung Curve 65-HU8700RXXP

Fortunately/(Un)fortunately, she gave the blessings after I got the 55" the LG 4K panel just less than 3 weeks ago. Now, have to pick the right replacement and determine how to dispose of the 55" 4k panel.

Any recommendations, ideas, thoughts which way to go?

Im not a fan of the curved tv's. Reminds me of the old projection type tv where you have to be seated dead center to view it properly. The LG get my thumbs up. What about sony?

Just to make this OT (apologies, as I just realized that my post is not exactly marketplace query) but which one is best buy and also what is my best option to get replace the LG 55" 4k brand new purchased unit? TIA!

Just in case how much would you sell you 55" and what is the model? My sister is currently looking for a 55" tv and does not want to get a sony bec of the price hahaha

Ended up bringing the 65" Samsung 4K with 3D Series 8 curve panel. Despite all my efforts to convince the wife to get the LG 65" with Harmon Kardon designed built-in speakers, I had to follow her choice of the curve model...

As for the 55" LG 4K panel, I am going to likely use it in another room. I may have to give up a Samsung 55" Series 8 LED panel that I got a year or two earlier that is also not much used.

The 78" 4K panel is way too expensive, but likely will be common place in a year or two from now if we follow the Costco trend of panels commonly displayed and sold in the States...
