Hi Sirs/Madams,

Good day!

I would like to ask for your opinions and recommendations on which speaker to buy to be paired with my Rotel RA12?

Currently, I am looking at the following speakers to replace my Wharfedale 9.6 diamond:
1. B&W 685 S2
2. psb imagine b


My music preferences are as follows:
- Jazz
- Rock
- Instrumental
- Alternative
- Lounge

I have a very small room (18sqm).

b&w 685 is round / fat sounding and good lows while rotel is detailed and good highs so if you marry both you get a balanced, full sounding and detailed sound quality.

this is just me though.

Bowers & Wilkins, or B&W, is an English company that produces audio equipment, most notably loudspeakers. B&W was founded in 1966 by John Bowers at Worthing, West Sussex, England. Currently, B&W, while still based in Worthing, is part of the B&W Group Ltd, which also includes audio equipment manufacturers Rotel and Classé.

Since B&W speakers and Rotel amplifiers are "sister Company", I believe that a lot of their research for sonic synergy were based on the combination of B&W speakers and Rotel amplifiers or Classe' amps.

Sorry,  but not buying the "sister company" relation,  Harman Kardon, Infinity, JBL, Revel and maybe a few other Audio companies is owned by Harman International, it does not mean that  JBL, Infinity or Revel would be best paired with a Harman Kardon amplifier, though some models may "match" depending on ones taste, room and subjective qualifications, but throwing a blanket statement that Rotel amps is best paired with B&W speakers is in my opinion is wrong regardless if they were made in the same country or factory.  my 2 pounds, este centavos pala

Not only b&w685 but try to test b&w 602 s3 w/ your rotel.

He must audition the gears first if it suits to his liking because we have different "ears" and we have different preferences when it comes to musical character. My personal preference is that I like the synergy of the Rotel & B&W and I think there are some audio enthusiasts who are on the same boat with me.

That's true kanya kanyang taste yan. I have rotel ra 04 and rotel ra 1060 before but my b&w sounds better with
my vintage sansui amps. I have b&w 685 & 602 s3. Para sa akin lang yun.
