Toshiba aftersales service?
« on: Dec 22, 2014 at 11:10 PM »
Been scouring the internet for this pero wala akong mabasa ni isang review tungkol sa aftersales ng Toshiba LED TV.

based on my experience, they will not provide home service if it's out of warranty. :(

^ Kapag within warranty may home service? Hmm... medyo deal breaker pala ito.

Anyway, to answer my own question, tumawag na ako sa hotline ng Toshiba at meron daw silang home service sa mga LED TV na malaki (i'm not sure kung anong particular sizes ang kasama sa home service pero yung 47 inches na minamataan ko ay kasama)

Mods, you can close this thread now  ^-^

Yes, sabi nung nakausap ko sa hotline nila na  459-0211, kahit daw out of warranty may home service pa rin. I don't know, baka yung newer models lang yung may home service?

I think any tv brand maski out of warranty should still be serviced, you'll pay nga lang.

Paano pag wala na receipt? Do they have record of serial numbers para malaman kung with warranty pa?

Aftersales? sucks big time.. My LCD Tv which I just bought about 2 years ago had a defective screen. Had it checked with their authorized service center, charged me 650 as it is out of warranty, only to inform me that they don't carry replacement/spare parts for the screen available anymore. Been a harrowing experience for me. That will be my last toshiba set.

kaya nung bumili ako ng bagong unit, i chose lg.

What's wrong with my 3-yr old Toshiba 46PB20?

Any recommendations / contact info on where I could have this checked or repaired?

Toshiba outsources their service to independent repair people.  These repairmen do not stock parts, and have to order them from Toshiba, as needed.

The repair people will charge you for home service, as this is not included in their deal with the mother company.

I also had that in mine on exactly the month when the warranty expired (Aug last year).

Toshiba switches between panel providers, just like Sony and Panasonic. Depende kasi san sila makakamura while meeting their requirements.

Older Toshibas karamihan LG, etong mga past few years karamihan Samsung.

Sony karamihan LG or AU (Acer) panel these days. Older models nila use mostly Samsung panels.

Panasonic karamihan gamit Samsung on higher end models and LG on lower models.

Acer and Innolux used to be significantly behind sa LG, Samsung and Sharp, but they are bridging that gap. Acer got there a few years ago, so maski flagship ngayon ng Sony eh Acer panel. Innolux is getting there (nagagamit na sila sa midrange models these days, before pang entry level lang sila usually).

^ Wow, dito pa lang sa PDVD this makes 4 of us with that same issue as pictured above. Sayang pa naman yung TV as it had a great performance for the 1st year. The screen bleeds off of white objects most notably on the TV prompts such as Volume and Menu Options.

@Gio Spike - Sorry to say but the initial finding that a Toshiba affiliated service center is this is an LCD Panel related issue and would cost you the almost the value of another TV set. Do let me know if another diagnosis was done on your TV if you opt to have it checked.

I researched on this and it seems like the affliction is caused by high temperatures in a humid environment. Especially this summer season, keeping our gears from humidity is a challenge.

Not sure if transferring your TV in a cooler room will help.

This guy seems to have the same problem as you guys have.

In my case the unit is very rarely used (unoccupied condo) and only used with the AC on.  I am not sure if condensation caused it, but I kind of have doubts about that. I'd open the unit when I have time to check if the t-con board is integrated into the panel.

If its humidity issue, you can use a beach towel to cover the TV when not in use. In my case, pinatahi ko parang kulambo.

My 55" Toshiba LED suddenly died last Sunday while watching movie using my bluray player. I'm lucky that it still have 6 months of remaining warranty out of 2 years warranty period. I brought my receipt to the dealer (Robinson's Appliances) and ask them to arrange the repair of my TV. After five days, I received a txt message asking if i'm available on Saturday to check my TV, Accordingly they are from Toshiba Service. I confirmed and yesterday, they arrived and repaired my TV. Sabi ng repairman, in very good condition pa daw yung TV ko. Meron lang syang ni-rersolder na some parts and voila buhay na naman ang TV ko.

I believe hindi talaga sila taga Toshiba but authorized service center siguro. I forgot the name of the service center pero naka-uniform sila ng green polo shirt at mukhang di basta. Pero na-save ko number nila 0928-275-0732.

Based sa experience ko this August 2016, mas ok Pala talaga Yung after sales ng LG kesa as Toshiba. From their expertise up to their uniform and vehicle.
