The pilot episode of The Returned was great. It's like the reverse of The Leftovers.

Haha! That was my exact comment when I watched the French version of The Returned last year. Not sure I want to watch the remake when I already saw and loved the original. It's the same reason I didn't watch Gracepoint.

Two new shows, Secrets and Lies and The Returned, are looking pretty good right now.

While I am watching Secrets and Lies, I personally don't think it's that good. I don't get why an entire town would turn against one of their own, who from the flashbacks (other than having an affair that no one knew about) seems like a very decent, good neighbor and family man. And Juliette Lewis looks like she went to the same acting school that Jada Pinkett used before appearing on Gotham - it's a one note performance, and she looks like she's constipated all the time.

Another US remake of an Australian show that's currently on the air is The Slap. I hear it isn't doing too well. I might give the Aussie original a shot.
