Topic: Sony Bravia KDL-70W850B

Any thoughts about this TV from Sony?  70 inches wedge type design, 1080P, NOT 4K, looks very very good.  Cash price in SM Appliance is 150K.  Also available in the U.S. for less than US$2,000.00.  Although I have read mixed reviews.  Some claim to be very happy with the performance while others are having radial banding issues.

Anyone here has this TV?  How is the after sales service of Sony now?

But I also saw this model in Automatic Center in Alabang...
Colors are not washed out and have good contrast.
Seeing some backlight bleeding in dark scenes but not bothersome.
For its price ok na cya...
Check mo din Sharp 70le650m, I think its alot cheaper and has very good PQ too.
Meron pa ata nito sa Cash and Carry Makati.

I suggest you go for 4K model at this size, the KD-70X8500B is a better choice though more expensive.  May I also suggest looking at LG 65UB980T series @ 158k, 5-inch smaller but great PQ and comes with harman kardon speakers...hope this helps

How is the after sales service of Sony now?

share ko lang sir experience ko sa sony service
i used to own a 40" led sony tv full hd
within a week nagkaroon ng problem sa tv speakers
i called sony service, within a few days dumating ang technician pinickup yung tv
after a few days sony called ready na daw for replacement sa Ansons (where i originally bought the tv)
pagpunta ko ansons tinanong ko yung manager if pwede 42" sony tv na lang bilhin ko ill just pay for the difference
pumayag naman yung manager
btw, if konti lang price difference ng 4k 70" dun ka na lang at least medyo futureproof na

sakin naman 1 and half months nagkaroon ng problema then tinwag ko umabot ng 1 month kasi ininsist ko na palitan nalang kasi bago pa naman sabi kasi nila software update lang sabi ko sa bahay nalang gawin hinde daw pupuwde kaya sabi ko hinde ako papayag na i pull out. kaya ayun tumawag sa akin kahapon ready na daw ang pamalit 2-3 days daw ang hinhintayin ko... dedeliver nila sa bahay yung new tv

yup tama nga 3 units binili namin nung 2012 then wala pa 1 yr nagkaproblema na, na repaired naman yung isa pinuntahan pa sa bicol kaya suki na ako ng service center nila kaya rin siguro na approved na yung replacement ng tv ko

At 150T get the 4K model na.  Future ready for the next 6 to 10 years.

Call up E-reply, Victor can give you even less for the LG 4K 65", mga 15t less my estimate.

Masyado malaki price difference ng 4K na TV.  Cannot afford.  Hanggang 1080P lang ako.  Viewing distance ko naman is around 9 feet. 

Napansin ko washed out ang colors ng LG kahit na yung 980T models.  Parang not worth the price.  Samsung na UHD ganda kaso ubod ng mahal.  Hindi rin kaya ng bulsa not unless ibenta ko asawa ko.

Too small and expensive. Eyeing 70 imches and higher but 1080p only.

Im sure even with entry level screen @ 84" the PQ will be so much better than this 70w850b

For movie viewing, nothing beats a PJ. Kaso ang daming kelangan ayusin for you to achieve the best movie experience(Room, UPS, PJ Maintenance, room paint, light disipline, screen, bulb degradation etc etc..)
