Topic: Sony Bravia W700B, accidentally broke my led screen

Hi to all,

I would like to ask for your help if you know any other way on how to replace my tv screen. I accidentally broke it last night. I turned it on and everything else is working other than the screen. The other half right side still has display. I called (Sony) Solid warranty and they said that it will cost me around 35k - 50k to get it fix plus 1700 for the labor. I bought it last February in SM BF and I know it will not be part of the warranty.

Kindly shoot me any information for cheaper way to fix the screen. Thanks in advance and Godbless.

Personally, I don't know of any cheap way to fix a broken screen panel. Most people that I read had the same problem usually ended up buying a new TV instead. But if you find a cheaper way, please share it to the group. How much did you buy the TV last Feb and what size is that?

That's a pain in the ass... Sorry pero alam marami tayo dito reputable na repair store pero tingin,hnde naman siguro aabot,ng kasing laki ng sa sony let's wait for other members here

Para nakakaloko naman ang Solid Corporation niyan. Bnew at P28k, P32k SRP tapos P35k ang repair. There's something wrong here.

Oo nga e. Sila lang kasi ang service center ng Sony. Sabi nga nung babae if ganyan na sira its better to buy a new one nalang talaga

I believe Sony  offers 2 yr warranty. Pls double check your receipt.

Basag na screen will never be part of any warranty. This topic comes up always every now and the reply is always the same. Better to get a new tv than have it repaired kasi nga the cost is identical to a new one. In this case mas mahal pa yun screen.

Get a new one na lang ulit.. Same model.. Then itago mo yang Sirang panel para pag out of warranty na yung sony and may internal parts na nasira..meron kang kakahuyan ng parts.. I believe LCD lang sira nyan and gumagana pa yung main board and other things sa loob right?

Possible na nalaglag ito kasi hinde sya naka mount and no other support materials to support the tv.
