As per your description, looks like it's denon that makes your speaker reach its full potential. probably what you can do is just to tweak your system. If denon feels a bit tight on bass, get interconnect cables that is bass heavy like the Van Den Hul 3T.

I have the same speaker Infinity reference One.
Matched very well with the Yamaha AS-300.
Because of the size of the box and drivers, in addition because it is a sealed box, do not expect a lot of bass.
Where this speaker excels in intimacy because of the delivery of the music.

Agree with sientobente maybe it just needs a bit of tweaking.
Try the Mogami cables in the MP section, it is balanced top to bottom.

tried using new interconnect for Denon and used new Speaker wires. inde pa rin makahinga yung Infinity. With that same speaker cable nabawasan yung highs at may nadagdag na bass sa Yamaha DSP.

Binalikan ko uli yung Denon but using a Tannoy speaker, may katigasan yung bass ng Tannoy sa yamaha but with Denon lumambot at naging mas fluid yung Tannoy.

Inde kaya compatibility issue ito with amps and speaker?

A small hybrid Tube AMP like a Dared MP5 or a itube fatman, or even a modified AV200.
You can bring your speakers and we can hook it up to my amp if you are interested to try.
We can roll tubes to get your desired sound.

This means that the speaker can output beautiful mid and high frequencies which are vocals, jazz, love songs and similar genres where low frequencies (bass) are not needed.

If I were you, i would borrow amplifiers of different power specs (from low to high).  Then when test  listening use the aforementioned genres to which the speaker can excel.  Now look for that amp that would bring out that intimacy or the best sound you can hear.

Now, how about other genres that has low frequencies or bass?  Follow qguy's recommendation and get a subwoofer that handle the low frequencies that the infinity cannot.

Now you have a system that can handle a wide range of genres.

Good luck and enjoy ...... please do give us an update on your journey........

just got hold of a Dared amp, and as far as i can see,
it is no different from a Sakura AV-200 in terms of power..
uses an SGS-Thomson TDA7265 IC, for about 25 watts per channel....http://www.unisonic.com.tw/datasheet/TDA7265.pdf

so borrowing the sakura is worth the try...meron ka pang tone control.....
btw, both amps uses the 6H1p chinese tubes....

if i may add, unless you can confirm that your room is neutral,
and your system do not have peaks and valleys in its response,
then playing it my ear will be a hit and miss thing...

you can not really tell if it is the speaker, your amp, your room or the program source itself... ;)
every time you change program music, everything seems to change...

ask me anything about amplifiers and how they work and i can surely answer you with authority...

but to be honest about it, i do not know the answers to all your questions, only you can tell for sure...

nag trial and error ako, nakabili ako ng  SONY TA 434 AMP, yung bass at  treble ok pag flat settings pag naka tape deck ako. Pag CD na may case na ok pag flat settings both at may case na i-na adjust ko both but more on lowering the treble side keeping the bass flat.

Nilaro ko sa TV at Tuner connection yung out ng cd player, medyo makalansing but the bass is good enough.

Ano kayang CD/DVD player yung inde bright? or need to  have as suggested above a neutral interconnect?

stayed  with Tuner connection, pina-init yung amp, using coax cable for interconnect (teac dvd), ayun gumanda yung tunog...

para palang diesel, habang umiinit yung makina gumaganda yung tunog..

Marami ka palang amps why restrict yourself to that particular pair of entry level speakers? Baka by the time you find the "perfect" amp for that eh nagpulbos na ang surrounds nyan. You might get better use of your time and yield better results by exploring other speakers.
